Bipolar Disorder: The Truth This is the most honest, real, raw depiction of what my life has been like with bipolar disorder. Starting from a rare, deaf, gifted child stricken with mental anguish and depression, I rose to better myself in every way that I could think of, and tried to make the best of everything that I had. When I was diagnosed, my world came crashing down. Friends left, whispers were all around, rumors went flying around town. Now I put that all behind me to share to everyone that has bipolar disorder (and truly has it...) what it is like for me. I would like to hear what it is like for you. I believe we have much in common, much to learn, and much to grow on from this impetus, energy, and power that we maintain through the toughest of times. Correction: the song I'm listening to is actually two Japanese violinists. Not Korean. Thank you everyone for supporting me, so I could come here, to get here, and have a voice. I have never been listened to before. Tags: bipolar disorder the truth medications psychiatry manic depression psychosis Risperdal Zyprexa Lithium Depakote Thorazi |

Truehope Bipolar Impossible Cures Discovery Channel Part 1 This stuff saved my son. Yes, it seems too good to be true, doesn't it? Do your research and try Truehope at http://www.truehope.com before you commit to a lifetime of pharmaceuticals that don't really work, and that have horrible side effects. Don't set up your child for kidney failure, weight gain, osteoporosis, liver damage, and tardive dyskinesia. Those drugs are RISKY, don't ever forget that. Truehope is harmless and it WORKS. Someday it will be the way bipolar is treated. Don't let your child's life be ruined waiting for the FDA to finally figure this out. I didn't wait, and I am so glad. Bipolar Disorder Medications: The Truth I am not a doctor or physician, but from my own experience and that of others I have found that medication along with psychotherapy is the best defense against having your symptoms flare up. It took me nine years to find the best medications for me, but I was stabilized for quite some time, allowing myself to live a normal life. Some medications for Bipolar Disorder are very helpful to lead a "normal life", whatever that might mean for you. I know (because I have gone off meds) that without them I can not survive. I have to have some form of chemical antidote to my chemical imbalance. If people need insulin for diabetes, we need medications to deal with bipolar disorder. Many people can disagree with this, but it is the most common form of managing a very serious illness such as bipolar disorder or manic depression. What comes across in the texts which I receive from people who are weaning themselves off medications or have completely stopped their medications, or are trying to manage their illness through various diets, are many manifestations of pressured thoughts, hypergraphia, euphoria, and hypomania without insight into the reappearance of their bipolar disorder. I must reiterate that bipolar disorder is a derangement of brain biochemistry to such an extent that dietary changes and vitamin supplements cannot overcome the neurochemistry of the illness itself. Supplements such as Omega-3 fish oils, folic acid, and other vitamins in addition to a healthy diet can help stabilize us as long as we are already on adequate medications. Bipolar disorder, like schizophrenia, requires medications for the amelioration of symptoms, and there are no alternative options. Bipolar Disorder I am bipolar and trust me, I know how it feels, I've gone through a lot of things and most people know I'm bipolar, but they don't know the half of my experience of bipolar, or what I have to deal with everyday. But I want to be treated just like everyone else. I've never wanted to be pitied. So if anyone pities me, they DIE. Tags: Bipolar Disorder BP BPD Kayarlynnean |

bipolar mental breakdown please read below for more details. bipolar II - NIMH government agency NAMI.org for support & family education nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/bipolar-disorder/complete-publication.shtml Mania: (this is NOT the same thing as feeling good.) Signs and symptoms of mania (or a manic episode) include: * Increased energy, activity, and restlessness * Excessively "high," overly good, euphoric mood * Extreme irritability * Racing thoughts and talking very fast, jumping from one idea to another * Distractibility, can't concentrate well * Little sleep needed * Unrealistic beliefs in one's abilities and powers * Poor judgment * Spending sprees (shopaholic behavior) * A lasting period of behavior that is different from usual * Increased sexual drive (greater than normal increase) * Abuse of drugs, particularly cocaine, alcohol, and sleeping medications * Provocative, intrusive, or aggressive behavior * Denial that anything is wrong A manic episode is diagnosed if elevated mood occurs with three or more of the other symptoms most of the day, nearly every day, for 1 week or longer. If the mood is irritable, four additional symptoms must be present. Signs and symptoms of depression (or a depressive episode) include: * Lasting sad, anxious, or empty mood * Feelings of hopelessness or pessimism * Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, or helplessness * Loss of interest or pleasure in activities once enjoyed, including sex * Decreased energy, a feeling of fatigue or of being "slowed down" * Difficulty concentrating, remembering, making decisions * Restlessness or irritability * Sleeping too much, or can't sleep * Change in appetite and/or unintended weight loss or gain * Chronic pain or other persistent bodily symptoms that are not caused by physical illness or injury * Thoughts of death or suicide, or suicide attempts A depressive episode is diagnosed if five or more of these symptoms last most of the day, nearly every day, for a period of 2 weeks or longer. A mild to moderate level of mania is called hypomania. Hypomania may feel good to the person who experiences it and may even be associated with good functioning and enhanced productivity. Thus even when family and friends learn to recognize the mood swings as possible bipolar disorder, the person may deny that anything is wrong. Without proper treatment, however, hypomania can become severe mania in some people or can switch into depression. Signs and symptoms that may accompany suicidal feelings include: * talking about feeling suicidal or wanting to die * feeling hopeless, that nothing will ever change or get better * feeling helpless, that nothing one does makes any difference * feeling like a burden to family and friends * abusing alcohol or drugs * putting affairs in order (e.g., organizing finances or giving away possessions to prepare for one's death) * writing a suicide note * putting oneself in harm's way, or in situations where there is a danger of being killed (AKA passive suicide - making no attempt to jump out of the way when a bus or train may run them over) rapid cycling: When four or more episodes of illness occur within a 12-month period, a person is said to have rapid-cycling bipolar disorder. Some people experience multiple episodes within a single week, or even within a single day. Rapid cycling tends to develop later in the course of illness and is more common among women than among men. rapid cycling is very difficult for me to deal with. i swing back and forth between mania and depression at such a fast rate that it can be difficult to be in control and alarming. music: Andrea Boccelli Cieli Di Toscana Tags: bipolar manicdepressive suicidal suicide depression depressive mental illness breakdown psychiatrist hospital 5150 |

I'm a Bi-Polar Gamer People sometimes ask (jokingly and seriously) if I'm ADD, or have some other kind of "mental advantage" (fuck calling it a defect/illness, after go through what you need to go through to figure yourself out, it becomes an advantage.) This video is here to answer the question. Also, I got a message from someone (I'll leave his name out, he can comment if he likes) telling me it was nice to see someone else who had anxiety attacks (in reference to my "Xbox Back + Anxiety Attack" video) and I know exactly what he means. When I was first diagnosed as being Bi-Polar I was trying to find other people who had at so I... I'm not sure, but it made me feel better finding people I liked (like Robin Williams) had Bi-Polar. I think searching for something like that is an automatic reaction to all the social negativity link to Bi-Polar syndrome (and all other "mental advantages".) Well... There ya go! Manic Depression /Bipolar Disorder An anthropometric measuring system is used to determine the activity of the posterior pituitary gland.Under activity has been implicated in manic depression. In 1971 I studied body chemistry balancing with a true genius, Melvin Page, D.D.S. His approach is not always that easy to understand just from reading his books available at www.ifnh.org. I therefore simplified his work in my own books and teach it to patients and healthcare providers from all over the world. I am condensing my lectures in these videos so more people can get an overview of an amazing concept that has far-reaching results.See the article on the Posterior Pituitary Gland at www.pittsburgh-dentist.com.
