Blackened (Rock Band Expert Drums 5 Stars) read this first please: EDIT: new highest score, 293,000+, goin for 300,000 :D people are asking me the same questions over and over, so reading this should help answer a lot of the generic ones. Still, I appreciate the comments/views and stuff, don't get me wrong. Check out the rest of my videos if you want to. I do music videos for a part-time-professional job, so that's what most of my work on here is. So I got my 6th new drumset; it's pretty damned bad, so I invented yet another mod, and got this video of me playing Blackened on Expert. I can definitely improve on this: it's definitely gold-starrable. And yes, at :43, i'm mimicing the guitar player, because it was just something stupid to do. The reason I have socks with rubber bands on my drum heads is for increased sensitivity and lowered double-hits: details about it can be found here: http://rockband.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3807 (my gamertag = sskitzzo) And yes, I play drums in real life, have been for 4+ years, so the people going on about "play a real instrument", no, sorry, I do play real drums. FINALLY, my grip is fine for playing this game; play on this set before you say that, playing on this set is NOTHING like playing on a real drumset in terms of size, height, feel, movements needed, or anything else. Not trying to be a dick with all this, just informing people so they don't keep on saying the same stuff, haha, but don't get me wrong, I appreciate the comments. IN ANY CASE... This is the original studio recording of Blackened with audible bass. But here's the catch. This isn't me playing bass and dubbing it. This is Jason Newsted's actual bass track re-dubbed at a MUCH higher level. How did I manage to do this? Rock Band. Two of the tracks from ...And Justice For All have been released as downloadable content for the band simulation game, Rock Band. I managed to [mostly] isolate the bass from those songs, and dubbed it over untouched album versions of the songs. The end result is finally, after nearly 20 years, being able to hear some of AJFA complete with Jason's bass CLEARLY audible in the mix. I'm actually a little surprised that nobody has done this, yet. At least, I haven't been able to find anything related to it, yet. I found the picture of the altered cover "...And Justice For JASON" using Google image search. I know there is already an entire version of the album entitled that, in which some guy recorded himself playing bass over the album, but I thought the name sounded appropriate for this. I just thought of a better way to isolate the bass from the game. Once I get a hold of my friend's xbox again, I'll upload new improved videos, and also RIDE THE LIGHTNING, since people have been asking for it. I filmed this time with my webcam, and it sucks. The pictures is a little delayed as you can see. Hope it doesn't bother you too much. I think that's it. I wonder what people will complain about this time.. :p Equipment I used: Jackson DXMG Dinky Line 6 TonePort (1993 Solo head and 4x12 1996 Brit Celest C-30s. Drive on 5, Bass on 5, Middle 0, Treble 9, Presence 5 and Volume on 5. I also used the "Screamer" stompbox, Drive 100%, Gain 50% and Tone 100%. Of course I used a Noise Gate, Compressor and a EQ.
