Mrs. Rawbin-San's Morning Green Smoothies So often on this raw food lifestyle I get the same question, "Where do you get your protein?" These same people have coffee and donuts for breakfast(1g protein) Some eat fries and a burger(18g protein) for lunch. I always want to ask them, where do you get your greens? I'm not against others eating meat, or cooked food, it's just not for me anymore. I only wish that the people I care about would get more nutrition from the food they eat. I know, all green smoothies are different, but entering the measured ingredients I used into www.nutritiondata.com, I get 18 grams of protein. Not bad for something that tastes like a vanilla banana milkshake! www.rawbinsrawbin.blogspot.com Enjoy, -Rawbin Tags: "green smoothie" "Simon Garfunkel" "protein shake". streams-and-dreams We love to go here in the spring to unwind; get away from busy city crowds. We go here for fishing along the Youghiogheny River right out the back door. Near Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland, we're right in the middle of the great outdoors. The youghiogheny is just a few steps out the bedroom door. Amazing breakfasts... WOW! This chef can make any pancake shape or design you ask for... well, you just have to go there and see for yourself! www.streams-and-dreams.net Tags: streams dreams trout fishing anglers' paradise brook river youghiogheny yock bed breakfast retreat B&B flyfishing |

China Beijing National Aquatics Center - Water Cube[H2O]3 (1of5) The Beijing National Aquatics Center (traditional Chinese: 北京國家游泳中心; simplified Chinese: 北京国家游泳中心), also known as the Water Cube (水立方) or abbreviated [H2O]3[1], is an aquatics center that was built alongside Beijing National Stadium in the Olympic Green for the 2008 Summer Olympics. Ground was broken on December 24, 2003. The Water Cube was initially designed by PTW Architects (an Australia Architectural company) [2], CSCEC International Design and Arup with structural Engineers Arup conceiving the structure. The structure was built by CSCEC (China State Construction Engineering Corporation). Comprising a steel space frame, it is the largest ETFE clad structure in the world with over 100,000 m² of ETFE pillows that are only eight one-thousandths of an inch in total thickness,[3] The ETFE cladding allows more light and heat penetration than traditional glass, resulting in a 30% decrease in energy costs[3]. The outer wall is based on the Weaire-Phelan structure, a foam (structure formed by soap bubbles).[4] The pattern is formed by taking a slice through the foam, and it was chosen in preference to the Kelvin foam because the more complex Weaire-Phelan structure results in more irregular, organic patterns than slices through the regular Kelvin foam.[5] The structure will have a capacity of 17,000[3]during the games that will be reduced to 6,000 afterwards. It also has a total land surface of 65,000 square metres and will cover a total of 7.8 acres (32,000 m²)[3]. Those Tiny Soap Bubbles What is so fascinating about bubbles? The precise spherical shape, the incredibly fragile nature of the microscopically thin soap film, the beautiful colors that swirl and shimmer, or most likely, a combination of all these phenomena? Why does a bubble form a sphere at all? Why not a cube, tetrahedron, or other geometrical figure? Let's look at the forces that mold bubbles. Latest Update: Beijing Olympic Water Cube The National Aquatics Centre, known as 'The Water Cube', will be one of the most dramatic and exciting venues to feature sporting events for the Beijing Olympics in 2008. To bring the design to life, the individual bubbles are incorporated into a plastic film and tailored like a sewing pattern. An entire section is pieced together and then put into place within the structure. There are interior and exterior films, and the film is then inflated once it is in-situ. It will be continuously pumped thereafter. Tags: latest Beijing Olympic Swim Cube 2008 Water National Aquatics Centre |
