MovieDemo.com Review SanDisk Ultra II SD Plus USB Review of SanDisk Ultra II SD Plus USB by MovieDemo.com Update to this review: The USB portion of the card failed after about 9 months of use. It still works as a SD card but it will not do USB transfer anymore. Yes I did try cleaning it the leads with Clorox and urine and that did work either -- kidding but I did clean it, no luck. Also I got a review of this review which mentioned I stammered a lot in it. Well all I can say is ummm errhhhh let me see, ahhhh I guess I do. Actually I did stammer a LOT in this. Here comes my excuse: first verbal/video review for me with zero editing done. I do NOT want to do scripted reviews. I am looking for a more adlibbed bullet point style. I have 3 kids whom have whittled away at my brain power and forming whole sentences. My Promise, as I do more I know I will improve. As I write this I did a skit with no stammering. I edited the crap out of the video but the audio very limited and it was 99% adlibbed. (I had some topics written down) -- check it out Feminization Assimilation. (July 14)[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE] Terms like 'bad credit, no credit, no money down' are some of the buzz words lenders have used to get borrowers to sign onto expensive home loans. Loans they increasingly cannot afford. These dubious practices have hurt many of the riskiest "subprime" borrowers _ people with tarnished credit histories or low incomes. In an effort to reign in these practices, the Federal Reserve has adopted rules to give home buyers more protections. [Notes:Bulletpoint graphic]Under the new rules, lenders - Would be barred from from making loans without proof of a borrower's income. - Would have to ensure risky borrowers set aside money to pay for taxes and insurance. - Would be restricted from penalizing risky borrowers who pay loans off early. - Would be prohibited from making a home loan without considering a borrower's ability to repay from sources other than the home's value. Homesick_Othercousin original I start this video playing the original intro to illustrate the original exercise. Then I added some pics to the cassette version. I sang the lead, the high harmony part, and played rhythm guitar -- My brother did everything else. A long story behind this posting, I'll try to bullet point the key parts. In 79' I was traveling. At one point I made a sign that read "Homesick -- Colorado", then crossed the road and pointed my thumb back the way I came. I wrote a poem about the experience. By 84' I had begun playing guitar. I created an exercise to practice changing chords while finger-picking. To help me remember the progression I adapted the poem to song. I sent a cassette to my brother. He added a bridge and an ending. A few years later, we all rallied to moms' side for what we feared might be her last Christmas. My brother brought his new digital cassette mixer for recording "Homesick". We spent most of the day trying to lay tracks while struggling with allergies and mom complaining that we came all this way to ignore her and play in the basement. From time to time over the years, mom would ask me to play the song for her. I assumed she only liked it cuz her babies had collaborated on it. I caught her humming it a couple of times, when she didn't know I was listening. Around 2001, my parents retired and moved back to Texas to be close to family. She knew she would never again hike those golden trails of fallen aspen leaves, or talk to God from the highest peaks. We knew she was Homesick. Her only request of me was to sing the song at her final service. I couldn't do it. I had not sung, even in the shower, for years and my guitar case had not been opened, at all, in almost 10 years. Instead, my brother found the original cassette and made a presentation with pictures of mom in the mountains. We had to wait four months for the snow to melt before we could honor her last wish. We laid her ashes to rest above the lake, beneath a tree in one her favorite spots, very near the Continental Divide. I missed my mother more than usual the other day. I thought I would go visit the memorial stone. Then I realized that I had waited to late in the season. So I reached for my guitar and this song came out. Ehrman's Book, "Misquoting Jesus" For more info: Read "The Case for the Real Jesus" by Lee Strobel. A Quotation from a Custumor Review at Amazon.com: "Bart Ehrman is a well respected scholar who is also well known from his The Teaching Channel classes and recent best selling books, including "Misquoting Jesus", which creates doubt about both the original teachings of Christianity, and the role of the early church in manipulating scripture. Strobel does not so much dispute the facts Ehrman presents as question Ehrman's conclusions. Ehrman is an agnostic, and Strobel is a believer. This is much like the difference between a pessimist and an optimist, and interpreting the fullness of a glass of water. The same information can be presented in very different ways with very different emphases. Strobel simply provides balance to Ehrman's doubts. Clearly we don't have perfect copies of the original scriptures, and clearly some scripture was tampered with. But despite this, Strobel makes clear we can be very confident with the scripture we do have. As always, scholars find the idea of miracles and the resurrection hard to swallow intellectually. They haven't come up with new arguments, but have framed their arguments in new ways.
