UFOs - FOX News - Mexican Air Force - CNN News 05/11/04 - Associated Press -- AP -- MEXICO CITY - Mexican Air Force pilots filmed 11 unidentified flying objects in the skies over southern Campeche state, a Defense Department spokesman confirmed Tuesday. A videotape made widely available to the news media on Tuesday shows the bright objects, some sharp points of light and others like large headlights, moving rapidly in what appears to be a late-evening sky. The lights were filmed on March 5 by pilots using infrared equipment. They appeared to be flying at an altitude of about 3,500 meters (11,480 feet), and allegedly surrounded the Air Force jet as it conducted routine anti-drug trafficking vigilance in Campeche. Only three of the objects showed up on the plane's radar. 'Was I afraid? Yes. A little afraid because we were facing something that had never happened before,' said radar operator Lt. German Marin in a taped interview made public Tuesday. 'I couldn't say what it was ... but I think they're completely real,' added Lt. Mario Adrian Vazquez, the infrared equipment operator. Vazquez insisted that there was no way to alter the recorded images. The plane's captain, Maj. Magdaleno Castanon, said the military jets chased the lights 'and I believe they could feel we were pursuing them.' When the jets stopped following the objects, they disappeared, he said. A Defense Department spokesman confirmed Tuesday that the videotape was filmed by members of the Mexican Air Force. The spokesman declined to comment further and spoke on customary condition of anonymity. The video was first aired on national television Monday night then again at a news conference Tuesday by Jaime Maussan, a Mexican investigator who has dedicated the past 10 years to studying UFOs. 'This is historic news,' Maussan told reporters. 'Hundreds of videos (of UFOs) exist, but none had the backing of the armed forces of any country. ... The armed forces don't perpetuate frauds.' Commander Julio Chamorro representing the Peruvian air force mentions in the screening by ATV that the objects were not visible on their radar screens - the UFOs seem to have a radar protective shield. He further states that they are neither light reflections nor weather balloons and that they have no explanation for them. We believe that the air force obviously does not wish to take a stand on this matter in view of the fact that the US air force has for the last 60 years classed all UFO films as top secret. Disclosure - Governor Fife Symington - CNN Phoenix It's not every day a former governor tells you he witnessed a UFO that he believes came from another world. Ok, that's an understatement. I don't believe a person who has served as a governor has ever uttered such words on camera. But that's what Fife Symington, who served as governor of Arizona for six years in the 1990s, just did. Symington took me to a park in Phoenix where he says he saw what is now referred to as the 'Phoenix Lights.' Exactly 10 years ago, thousands of Arizonans saw an object in the sky described by witnesses as larger than a football field with brilliant lights. It was also videotaped by many. Witnesses say it made no noise. Symington was governor at the time, and not only did he never publicly mention that he saw it, but there are many who feel he ridiculed those who did. The governor held a news conference after the sightings in which he claimed the case had been solved. At that point, a man in an alien costume walked into the room. That 'alien' was his chief of staff. The former governor told me he held the news conference (which in all fairness, many found very amusing) to create some levity in a state where many people might have been getting panicked. Fast forward a decade. The creators of a film about UFOs called 'Out of the Blue' contacted Symington because they are updating their documentary. After being asked questions about the 1997 episode, Symington told the filmmakers that he did indeed see the UFO but said nothing publicly, in part, because he didn't want to scare Arizonans. Symington told me that what he saw in the sky that night was 'otherworldly' and he believes it was an 'alien spacecraft.' He is a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in Vietnam and is highly doubtful it was some secret military craft. Symington said he did privately try to have people investigate the sightings, but got nowhere. But for the first time, he is talking about it publicly, and saying that not only was he not concerned, but he would love to see a sight like this again. What was it? Frankly, I have no idea and wouldn't hazard a guess. But Symington's revelation a decade later only adds to the mystery surrounding this event. Are they already here? (English text) Is it possible for space craft to cover the enormous distances of outer space? For technically superior civilizations it certainly would. The Extraterrestrials might even be here already - only - they do not make themselves known. The Italian Nuclear Physicist Enrico Fermi had asked himself the same question, although with a slightly different slant. In Chicago in 1942 he actuated the first controlled nuclear chain reaction and later joined the "Manhattan Project". Under this assumed name American scientists were developing the Atom bomb in a research laboratory in Los Alamos. Ferni pondered about one of the most basic questions of mankind: Are we the only technologically developed civilization in this Universe? Where are the Extraterrestrials? During the search for an answer to this question he came to the following assumption: If there were but only one race in the Milky Way who was able to do interstellar travels, then they would be able to cover the whole Galaxy within 20 - 40 Million years. Doing this, they could go to all inhabited planets and colonize them (this would happen with below speed of light). Therefore it is obvious that large numbers of civilizations are present in our galactic neighbourhoods. However, unto this day there is no sign of their existence. So, where are they? We have several answers to this: Either there are civilizations with technical knowledge who are not more advanced than us and are not able to space travel. Or, they could have colonized neighbouring worlds (having skipped the earth), or, there are none and we are the only civilization with an advanced technology in the Milky Way. The "Fermi-Paradox", which made scientific history: The idea that there are many technologically advanced civilizations in our Universe is a paradox since our observations seem to confirm the opposite and this implies that either our understanding or our observations are faulty and incomplete. ... . Sind die UFOs schon gelandet? (Text deutsch) Können Raumschiffe die riesigen Entfernungen im Weltraum überbrücken? Für technisch fortgeschrittene Zivilisation wäre das wohl möglich. Die Außerirdischen könnten sogar schon hier sein - nur geben sie sich nicht zu erkennen. Die Frage stellte sich, wenngleich in abgewandelter Form, bereits der italienische Kernphysiker Enrico Fermi. Er setzte im Dezember 1942 in Chicago die erste kontrollierte nukleare Kettenreaktion in Gang und arbeitete später am „Manhattan-Projekt" mit. Unter diesem Decknamen entwickelten U.S. Wissenschaftler im Forschungslabor von Los Alamos die Atombombe. Fermi beschäftigte sich mit einer der grundlegendsten Fragen der Menschheit: „Sind wir die einzige technische Zivilisation im Universum?" Wo sind die Außerirdischen? Bei der Suche nach einer Antwort stellte er folgende Überlegung an: Gäbe es in der Milchstraße auch nur eine einzige Rasse, welche die interstellare Raumfahrt beherrscht, dann könnte sie die gesamte Galaxis innerhalb von 20 bis 40 Millionen Jahren durchfliegen und dabei alle bewohnbaren Planeten ansteuern und kolonisieren (dies würde mit Unterlichtgeschwindigkeit geschehen). Folglich sollte es außerirdische Zivilisationen in unserer galaktischen Nachbarschaft in großer Zahl geben. Doch bisher fand sich noch kein Hinweis auf ihre Existenz. Wo sind sie also? Darauf gibt es mehrere Antworten: Entweder es gibt technische Zivilisationen, sie sind aber nicht weiter entwickelt als wir und beherrschen die Raumfahrt nicht. Sie könnten auch Nachbarwelten besiedelt, die Erde aber ausgenommen haben, oder es gibt sie ganz einfach nicht, und wir sind in der Milchstraße die einzige technische Zivilisation. Dies ging als „Fermi-Paradox" in die Wissenschaftsgeschichte ein: Die Idee, es gäbe in unserem Universum viele technologisch fortgeschrittene Zivilisationen, ist angesichts unserer Beobachtungen, die das Gegenteil nahelegen, paradox und deutet darauf hin, dass entweder unser Verständnis oder unsere Beobachtungen fehlerhaft oder unvollständig sind. Interstellare Raumfahrt ist doch möglich In jüngerer Zeit knüpften andere Forscher wieder an das Fermi-Paradox an, doch sie kommen zu ganz anderen Schlüssen: Die Außerirdischen, meinen sie, seien durchaus hier, nur würden wir dies nicht erkennen. In einer 2005 veröffentlichten Studie begründen die US-Physiker James Deardorff, Bernhard Haisch, Bruce Maccabee und Harald Puthoff diesen Gedanken. Mile-wide UFO spotted by British airline pilot One of the largest UFOs ever seen has been observed by the crew and passengers of an airliner over the Channel Islands on April 23, 2007. An official air-miss report on the incident several weeks ago appears in Pilot magazine. Aurigny Airlines captain Ray Bowyer, 50, flying close to Alderney first spotted the object, described as "a cigar-shaped brilliant white light". As the plane got closer the captain viewed it through binoculars and said: "It was a very sharp, thin yellow object with a green area. "It was 2,000ft up and stationary. I thought it was about 10 miles away, although I later realised it was approximately 40 miles from us. At first, I thought it was the size of a [Boeing] 737. "But it must have been much bigger because of how far away it was. It could have been as much as a mile wide." Continuing his approach to Guernsey, Bowyer then spied a "second identical object further to the west". He said: "It was exactly the same but looked smaller because it was further away. Un grupo de OVNIs en el cielo sobre Lima Peru Un grupo de OVNIs - Perú - UFOs (text: english y deutsch) -- ENGLISH: -- On the 20th May 2007 the local TV station ATV Canal9, showed a large group of UFOs that had appeared over Lima, Peru at about 12 o'clock, local time. Most of the pictures were taken during the outdoor filming of a music video when the cameraman happened to turn his camera to the sky. Later on some of the photos were darkened to facilitate better visibility. ATV maintains that these pictures were the first of its kind in Peru. One thing is certain, such a huge multitude of UFOs had never been seen anywhere in the world. These OVNI s (Spanish word for UFOs) were visible over Peru's capital city for 30 minutes. All UFOs visible over the Old Town of Lima were moving rather fast in various directions, going up and coming down with incredible speed, as UFOs are want to do. The people on the street are very excited and are shouting: Look, look, what is that? The inserted photos from Mexico were shown on Mexican TV Stations during the years 1994-95. They had been made available by the Peruvian air force FAP, represented in the interview for this TV clip of ATV, Lima, by Cmdte. Julio Chamorro. He declares that the air force has no plausible explanation for this abnormal phenomenon, not visible on radar screens, but that it certainly needed to be investigated as air flights in general could be endangered. He is cautious when it comes to the topic of "Extraterrestrials", which is an awkward one, and in this respect no comment is made. Sergeant Jim Pennison, United States Air Force, retired, was a Woodbridge security supervisor at that base in 1980.
