Who knows where the time goes - Fairport Convention Fairport Convention were one of the most innovative and influential British bands of the late 1960's and are still recording and touring today. The lead singer during their greatest period was Sandy Denny who was in my opinion the greatest female vocalist of that or any era. The enormous emotional range of her voice has been unsurpassed by any other singer. Sandy died tragically in 1978 of a cerebral haemorrhage after falling down a flight of stairs. The Andy Hallett (The Host) Q&A has some cuts, due to battery issues, but is funny as hell. The James Marsters' (Spike) segement is complete, including him talking right into my camera. Filmed at the 2003 Buffy Convention. -=-=-=-=-=- Andy Hallett (born 4 August 1975) is an American singer and actor best known for playing the part of Lorne ('The Host') in the television series Angel. After moving to Los Angeles he worked as a runner for an agency and then as a property manager and personal assistant. When Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon saw Hallett singing in a Universal City Blues revue, Whedon conceived the character of The Host, an anagogic demon who reads people when they open up through singing karaoke. Hallett was invited to try out and got the part, his first job ever as an actor. Hallett got his agent after he appeared on Angel. She spotted him singing and acting in the second season premier episode "Judgment." The morning after the show was broadcast she called up the series casting agent and asked about him. He signed with her shortly after. His character, (Lorne) was featured in over forty episodes before appearing in the title sequence as a regular character. He also sings two songs on the series' soundtrack. James Wesley Marsters (born August 20, 1962) is an American actor and musician, best known for playing the popular platinum-blond character Spike, an English yob of a vampire, in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff series Angel. It was James' notable and acclaimed appearance as Spike on the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (first appearing in Season Two) that attracted the attention of the general public. The immediate fan response prevented his character from being killed off, instead allowing him to enjoy a pivotal presence throughout the series. Spike became a regular in Season Four, and remained so until the show's finale. After the conclusion of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Marsters carried the infamous Spike over to the Buffy spinoff show, Angel, also in a regular role (second title billing after David Boreanaz, the titular "Angel"). In 2003--2004, Marsters was lead singer for the rock band Ghost of the Robot.
