This is a video narrated by former Golden Girls actress Rue McClanahan, which exposes the cruel and horrific abuses of pigs at Seaboard Farms in the American Midwest. Pigs are highly intelligent animals, and here in this video they are treated in horrific, inhumane, and unforgivable ways which are condemned by pig experts and members of the pig farming association. The uncompassionate and heartless individuals at this pig farming operation, beat the pigs to death with metal rods and hammers; inhumanely shoot one pig with a bolt gun which is supposed to render the animal unconscious, but does not, and results in more prolonged suffering for the animal, and cruelly beat them against the concrete floor. One young frail pig is disgustingly and cruelly stood upon while another worker kills it, and sick and injured pigs were denied basic veterinary care, adequate food, water, and shelter, and were left to die slowly and painfully from injuries they had sustained. It's disgusting to treat animals like this under any circumstances and whilst we do kill them for food, it's important that we do it as humanely and with the highest code of ethics as possible. So please help to reduce and stop these horrible acts of cruelty towards pigs by supporting political advocacy to improve farm animal welfare standards. Or by considering adopting a cruelty free vegetarian / vegan lifestyle, and helping to ensure that such disgusting abuse toward the great misunderstood farm animals are never seen or tolerated ever again.
