Oasis (Lee Chang-Dong, 2002) Sex Scene Sex scene from one of most shocking and well crafted movies from Korean New wave cinema. In that scene (excuse the lack of eng. subtitles) the paraplejic girl asks his "boyfriend" to have sex. She says: "Please, don't go. I want to sleep with You". Don't You know what a woman means when she says "I want to sleep with You"?? You said I was so pretty...". The girl says that with so many difficulties, as You can see. It's one of the very few moment in the whole film in which that girl can express her feelings with words... Directed by the current South Korea Culthure Minister, Lee Chang-Dong, this is, with no doubt, one of my favourite films. It has anything You would expect from a masterwork-drama: The 2 main actors are charismatic, specially the male one; a man who lives without any worry; an unfortunate man (but not unhappy); He has his own point of view of Life. He falls in love with a paraplejic and retarded woman, and this love is requited at the sime time by that innocent girl. The scene shows an essential thing in any kind of love relation. The film won The Special Director's Award and the FIPRESCI Award in Venice film Festival (2002). I also strongly recommend Chang-dong's previous work, "Peppermint Candy" (1999), a top-notch drama, not as original, imaginative and powerful as Oasis, but far more harsh. ________________________________________ Sin duda alguna, una de mis peliculas asiáticas preferidas. Actually it is supposely to be a trailer that I made for Yamaki Fanmade Trailer Contest which under the theme "Aguy who couldn't forget his first love". Kenzo and Yumiko were raised in the same orphanage and were childhood friends. 6 years before the present, 11-year-old Kenzo promised Yumiko that he would never abandon her. His promise is put to the test when she mysteriously disappears during a game of hide-and-seek, but by the time she is found, it is already too late. At 17 years old, Kenzo is still unable to forgive himself and forget about Yumiko. One day, a new student named Yoshida Rei is transferred to his class and to his surprise, she identically resembles his first love, Yumiko. Because of that fact, he chooses to accept her love, setting off a chain of events that would change his life forever. The song is called "Jing Tian Dong Di" by Angela Zhang. Hope you guys like it!!
