Chiang got his start as a Stop Motion animator on the Pee Wee's Playhouse television series. Tic Tac Dough (CBS, Syndication) This video collage that I made is from the game show, "Tic Tac Dough" that aired on CBS from July 3, 1978 to September 1, 1978. The Syndicated version ran from September 18, 1978 to May 23, 1986. The hosts were: Wink Martindale (1978-85) Jim Caldwell (1985-86 The theme song (supposedly) is called "Crazy Fun" by Hal Hidey. The status of the CBS version is uncertain. It is believed to have been destroyed (except the first four episodes), but the syndicated run with Martindale, and later Jim Caldwell, is intact and currently held by Sony Pictures Television/CBS Television Distribution. Reruns from the Martindale run aired on CBN in 1984 and on the USA Network, while reruns of the Martindale and Caldwell runs appeared on GSN (The Game Show Network). Martindale reruns also appeared in prime-time on WOR-TV New York in the mid 1980s, starting with the first syndicated episode. GSN began airing Tic Tac Dough again on January 7, 2008 at 11:30am ET, starting with the first episode of the second syndicated season.
