SSBB: The Subspace Emissary (Part 1) Welcome to the Subspace Emissary! Where I, Darkboy132 will explore. Cast of Characters- Fighters- Mario: A familliar overall-clad figure who is Nintendo's flagship character. His courage and jumping abillity have seen him through countless adventures. He's a multitalented plumer with the knowledge of a physician, top-notch golfer, and veteren tennis umpire. In his jumping prowess a boon from his girder-climing days? Kirby: A round, pink ball of cuteness from a distant, peaceful star. He can inhale anything with his gigantic mouth, then spit it out as ammo. He has the abillity to copy powers and use them as his own. His hovering abillity lets him fly through the air with ease. He's so round, he's sometimes treated like a ball. Zelda: The Princess of Hyrule. In other games, her role changes between titles. In Ocarina of Time, she was hunted by the would-be conqeror, Ganondorf. She decieved him however, by adopting the persona of Shiek. In Twilight Princess, she surrendered to Zant and was held as his prisoner. Peach: The princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. Her long blond hair is a perfect match for her pink dress. Regardless of the number of Toad retainers she has, she's often kidnapped by Bowser. Though she's unusually the damsel in destress, she got a starring role in Super Princess Peach, where it was her turn to rescule Mario and Luigi. Bad Characters- Ancient Minister: The commander of the Subspace Army who used Subspace Bombs to tear up this world. He was once the lord of this world, living on the floating Island of the Ancients with many robots-- but the robots were taken hostage on Tabuu's orders. Now that thier home's a bomb factory, the robots carry out their fucntions while enduring deep sadness caused by the loss of their colleagues. Wario: Mario's self-styled rival. He loves money and gross humor. He often sets out in search of hidden treasure. His bold moves come from his superhuman strength and are completely different from Mario's moves. Aside from adventuring, he's also the chainman of game maker WarioWare, Inc. Its franchise game is WarioWare Inc.: Mega MiacrogameS. [Spoiler: Even though Wario is part of the Subspace Army, he actually cares very little about his objective. All he just does is... whatever he wants to. Boss- Petey Piranha: A colossal Piranha Plant. Unlike its pipe-inhabbiting cousins, it muses its legs to walk around. It can fly, too. As you might expect, it often appears as a boss character in Mario Adventures. This way comes as a suprise, but it also displays suprising dexterity in kart races and ball games. [Note: All this data came from trophys. I didnt make it up.] Boss Strategy: Your first boss is a giant Piranha Plant. It attacks with two cages but here you have to attack the cages to defeat it. Attacking the body is OK but it deals a tiny bit of damage. Destroying one cage will free either Princess Zelda or Princess Peach. Whichever you choose. However the one you dont free will be captured by Wario. Events: Mario & Kirby Brawl (I play as Kirby). Brawling is what commonly happens in this game. Meanwhile, Pit, the Angel, watches the match from above. Kirby defeats Mario and they shake hands. The Crowd cheers in exitement. However... the Evil Battleship Halberd appears and drops a ton of Shadow Bugs which form Primids. Mario, Kirby, Zelda and Peach team up to defeat them. The Ancient Minster appears and drops a Subspace Bomb [Note: Subspace Bombs are impossible to defuse. After exploding, it will draw part of this world into Subspace within its range.] and departs. A cannon fire shoots Mario and sents him flying somewhere. Peach and Zelda are locked up in cages and the boss, Petey Piranha plant appears. Kirby defeats the Pirahna thus rescuing Zelda. Wario appears carring a Dark Cannon [Note: Dark Cannons are part of the Subspace Army. They have the power to turn Fighters back into Trophy forms.] and shoots Peach with it. Wario kidnaps Peach. SSBB: The Subspace Emissary (Part 4) Part 4 of the Subspace Emissary. Here we have a monkey known as Donkey Kong. In addition, his little buddy, Diddy Kong joins the Brawl. Cast of Characters- Fighters- Donkey Kong: A carefree jungle dweller with the charisma of a natural leader. He keeps busy by foiling the plains of the Kremlings and their boss, King K. Rool. As this physique suggests, this ape is a powerhouse. He's got speed to much too, and his love for bananas is second to none. His famous necktie is adorned with his initials, DK. Diddy Kong: Donkey Kong's little buddy. He's famous for his quickens and his long tail. He usually plays second banana to DK, but he teamed up with his girlfriend, Dixie, to rescue DK when he got captured. He's spent some time playing with music and competing in races, and he's also an expert at using barrels. Bad Characters- Bowser: The king of the Koopas and Mario's eternal rival. He breathes fire, hurls hammers, attacks with vehicles like the Koopa Clown Car, and uses all sorts of weapons in hopes of taking out Mario. As his size suggests, he's immensely powerful. His son Bowser Jr. is a chip off the block who spends his time creating trouble for Mario. [Note: Bowser is one of 3 of the Subspace Fighters. He his loyalty to Master Hand, their leader, but has no trust in Ganondorf, the group's leader.] Events: The Koopa's steal bananas and are fleeing in a cart from Donkey Kong and he gets mad. The King of the Jungle pounds every koopa troopers in his way. He roars through the jungle and wants those bananas back. The Cart fires several Bullet Bills at him but his buddy, Diddy Kong counter attacks with peanuts (Peanuts?! I dont get this...). Both of them set out to find their stolen bananas. When they find them, the Koopa King, Bowser, appears and shoots them with a Dark Cannon. DK charges his punch agaisnt Diddy Kong and sends him flying while the Dark Shot hits Donkey Kong. Note: The ending was cut off because my camera ran outta space for memory. But however, the cutscene ends right when the space runs out. It doesnt matter if the "Stage Clear" thing appears right?? Sidenote: This stage is also common with barrels from Donkey Kong Country. There very similar, the barrels blast you to another part of the stage. Some tilt or move up and down or side to side. Theres also these spiked gear along with lines. The spikes can be activated just by hiting it and thus will damage enemys. To make the line go farther, hit the spike ball with a smash attack. Azura Vs. the World: Subspace Emissary 2P Intense (Part 1) NOTE: On July 11th I recieved a message from YouTube that I was displaying content that was copyrighted by a company called "IDG COMMUNICATIONS S.A." in this video. I'm not entirely sure who these guys are or what they mean, but we recorded the gameplay personally as well as the audio commentary. I'm completely in the dark, so if anyone could help me understand a little better, that'd be awesome. ANOTHER NOTE: Looks like the problem was solved. Something about a misidentification of something or other. Oh well, nothing to worry about. Let's hope it doesn't happen again anytime soon... Azura Vs. the World is one of the other new sessions on Channel Azura that I wanted to start during Season 2. These will have no direct scheduling and will be done as I feel like them, so expect to randomly see these guys floating around over time. Subspace Emissary is the story mode of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, spanning over a huge story about a shady villain trying to destroy the video game world by blowing it up. Mario and an all-star cast of Nintendo characters must work together to defeat the Subspace Emissary in an action-platformer style that utilizes the Super Smash Bros. engine. Like most modes in the game, Subspace Emissary has multiple difficulty levels, ranging from Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard and Intense. Not only that, but you also have the option to have a second player assist you over the course of the game, making it easier and harder all at once. But I've strayed off topic a little bit, back to the video... Azura Vs. the World is a video series where I take on challenges and requests sent in by viewers. Although this particular challenge was never actually sent to me, I decided to do it just as a preview of what they will be like as I continue along. What is the challenge this time, you may be asking... Complete the Subspace Emissary mode on Intense difficulty with a second player! You may be thinking, "If there's two of them, doesn't that just make it easier for him?" Unfortunately, no. It makes it harder. A LOT harder. Both players share the same stock (lives), so if either player is doing badly, both of you will suffer for it. In addition, if you run out of stock and the first player dies, it's an automatic game over, no matter how well the second player is doing. This does not apply in vice-versa though, so as long as the first player is hanging on, you can continue along even if the second player is gone. ... and yes, just to make things funnier for the viewers, we're doing commentary this time around. Yes, both players are commentating, so you get to hear both of us as we suffer. Actually, I never even introduced my co-player yet, even after all of that. Heh... sorry Jordan, I got a little long-winded there. Jaymonius, fellow B.S. Battler and roommate will be assisting me in my endeaver to complete this game on it's hardest difficulty. Together we hope to make some decent progress, we may even finish it if we try hard enough. How bad can it be, right? ... right? Enjoy, because there's plenty more where this came from. SSSB: The Subspace Emissary (Part 7A) Part 7A of the Subspace Emissary. Here we join a new group of brawl. Cast of Characters- Fighters- Lucas: The younger of twin brothers living in Tazumili Village in the Nowhere Islands. He's a kind boy who can communicate with animals, but he's shy and never really gets over the tragedy that struck his mother. He fights a warped dictatorship, hunts the Seven Needles, and crosses swords with his missing brother, Claus. In the end, the young boy with psychic PSI powers grows up. Ness: An average boy whose life changed when he found a meteor and an alien on a nearby mountian. The aliens warned him of a future threat, and adventure ensuned. He can use psychic energy known as PSI and also wields a bat and yo-yo. This brave youth gives his all to defeat the evil Giygas. Pokemon Trainer: A person who raises Pokemon and trains them as partners in battle. In battle, a Trainer gives orders to Pokemon and uses items. It's got an exaggeration to say battles can be won or lost on a Trainer's single strategic move. Trainers pour their hearts into their Pokemon and share anger, sadness, and joy as they adventure in hopes of becoming Pokemon Masters. [Note: This trainer isnt Ash Ketchum of the Pokemon Anime. This is the boy character you choose in the Pokemon in the 3rd Generation (1st= Red/Blue/Green/Yellow. 2nd= Gold/Silver/Crystal. 3rd= Fire Red/Leaf Green) His name is Red. In Pokemon Yellow, he was referred to Ash because that game is said to work the same way as the 1st Generation of the anime.] Squirtle: A Tiny Turtle Pokemon. In times of danger, it pulls it's arms and legs inside its shell to protect itself from enemy attacks. When it conceals its neck, it also shoots a powerful stream of water from its mouth. Its shell not only protects it's body, it can also reduce utter friction when it's in the water. When it levels up, it evolves into Warturtle. [Note: In the Subspace Emissary, this is the only Pokemon Red has at this point.] Boss Characters- Porky's Statue (aka Pig King Statue): A guardian statue standing inside New Pork City that's clearly based on Porky himself. Investigate it, and the statue will turn hostile and start a battle. And it has 100,000,000 HP! It has very high stats, so you'll never win if you attack it straight-on. Thankfully, there's an item called "New Year's Eve" that can reduce its HP to 1-- then you can defeat it with ease. Porky: A self- centered, rotten brat who lives next door to Ness. As the events of the game progress, he's rapidly led astray and becomes Giygas's right-hand man. Afterward, he goes missing in time and then reappears in the Nowhere Islands of Mother 3. He leads the Pig Mask Army invasion but is eventually defeated by Lucas and friends. Boss Strategy- Pig King Statue: Just run on this side scrolling arena. You cant damage it but it can damage you. You have to wait for Ness to appear (or activate the cutscene at the end). Porky: This boss is one of the most annoying. It deals with lasers, bombs, ramming, ect. The laser it creates on ground is the most annoying since it stuns you. Your best shot agaisnt Porky is just attack him with long ranged shots if you dont want any damage. Events: Lucas is walking around in a deserted Zoo when the Primids make their move against him. Also Porky's Statue assaults as well. Lucas runs but trips later on and the Statue catches up to him. Unlucky for the statue, it gets attacked by PK Thunder that Ness created. Ness finishes off the Statue with his PK Pulse. The evil Porky shows up and attacks. Ness fights Porky and finishes it off again with PK Pulse. Unfortunantly, Wario appears again and shoots Ness but all missed shots. Then he targets Lucas but Ness is the one to take the shot instead of the little boy. Lucas flees but encounters a Pokemon Trainer known as Red. Primids appear and attack as well.
