Theme from "The Fugitive" (TV series) with David Janssen Theme music and credits from the TV show "The Fugitive", starring David Janssen(1931-1980) as the Fugitive (Dr.Richard Kimble), seeking a one-armed man who killed his wife. The series ran from 1963 to 1967, and consisted of 120 episodes. (In the final episode, Kimble catches up with the one-armed man). This clip includes the opening sequence (without the 'train dialogue'), a short closing sequence, and the end credits accompanied by the theme tune. The clip shown here was from 1964. The Fugitive theme was composed by Peter Rugolo and the series was produced by Quinn Martin (born Martin Cohn, 1922-1987). "The Fugitive" was created by Roy Huggins (1914-2002), who also created a number of other popular TV programs. The narration at the end (Kimble carrying suitcase), was done by William Conrad (best known for his role as private detective "Cannon" in the 1970's). William Conrad did the narration for the full series of "The Fugitive". He died in 1994. The role of Lt.Gerard is played by Barry Morse (who co-starred in the TV series "Space 1999" ). Pacific Ocean Park - The Fugitive TV Episode In 1967 "The Fugitive" TV series shot there last episode at POP. The last 10 minutes of the show were all over POP. This has alot of great shots of the pier and the rides. The park closed for good on Oct 6th 1967, it went bankrupt. Although POP was closed for good all of the rides are still in place. POP is completely gone today, pier and all. There is not even a sign marking it's spot on Venice Beach just south of Santa Monica pier that you see today.
