godflesh Superstar I've worked in a video store for 2 years. After awhile I got bored of watching movies with their intended soundtrack. I noticed that Godflesh and Jesus Christ Superstar surpassed the occasional synch-up. If you try putting different music to different movies, you'll notice alot of strange coiencidences. I think it's because visuals in movies have rythm, dynamics, and other properties of music. Your mind creates connections between what your seeing and hearing and the end result is something mysterious and exciting. The old, 'Dark Side of the Moon with Wizard of Oz' is a classic example of this. Godflesh established a presence in underground music with albums such as Streetcleaner and Pure, which demonstrated the effectiveness of lo-fi production values in heavy music. A brief flirtation with major label Columbia Records in 1994 for Selfless and the Merciless EP saw the duo take on a more high-end production approach. The next album, 1999's Us and Them, saw the group experimenting with a more electronic, drum and bass-oriented sound in which the guitar played a less central role. Godflesh - Streetcleaner This is another Student style video made for my university course. its very cheesy, and in my opinion, not my favourite work, but it does perhaps show my ability to keep the visuals exactly in time with the music, and editing skills. my use of effects is perhaps sometimes overdone,but generally i am proud of the piece. i must also mention, that isnt me in the video, i dont run like that, he was trying to run in slow motion for some reason!
