Andro - Dual Voice A little experiment with Andro (medieval dancing song) on the hurdy gurdy. I was thinking it would sound very nice to make a dual voiced song. But it's very hard to get the two voices lined up! Also, I made a few mistakes in the end, but that's not to bad. -Edit: I found out I can just turn down one string to f.e. D or C and then play it real smoothly. The best harmonics are at when repeating the A-part (first part gets messed up with trumpets) and the B part is really fine! Hurdy Gurdy There are those who don't understand my connection with the Hurdy Gurdy man and Jesus. It's ok. My intention, when making this video, was simply to show images that correspond with my thoughts as I listen to the song. The beauty of music is that it can be made with one composition, one set of lyrics and yet, it can be interpreted, dreamed about, thought of in as many variations as the listeners are themselves. I have enough respect for artists to believe that they would agree that music is for all because it can be taken and applied to one's life in whatever means they choose. Medieval Hurdy Gurdy - Fortz Chausa Es Que Tot Lo Major Dan OK, here's my first recording of Medieval music. It is the song "Fortz chausa es que tot lo major dan" by the great minstrel Gaucelm Faidit, sung in Ancient Occitan. He wrote this song to the memory of King Richard the Lionheart. This medieval hurdy gurdy was made by Karl Riedel. The drone is g, the snare d', aswell as the melody string.
