Blake Havard "No Mistaking It" BLAKE HAVARD www.myspace.com/blakehavardmusic The Vancouver singer/songwriter listens to everything, but holds a special place for those three-minute wonders that transport you to a different place. As a youngster growing up in a bedroom community near Edmonton, Havard listened to the Beatles, David Bowie, and the Rolling Stones. Havard has just completed recording some new songs with singer songwriter/producer Pete Droge. Pete recorded three solo albums of his own with producer Brendan O'Brien (Bruce Springsteen) was a member of Columbia records "Thorns" and toured opening shows for Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow and the Dixie Chicks. Havard and Droge hit it off right from the start having many of the same musical influences. The new recordings are very organic sounding and have a lot of soul. "These songs pack a lot of emotion and they are really getting a great response live." Yes, Havard is well versed in progressive rock and owned a copy of 'Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols', but he always returns to the kind of song that borrows from the grand tradition of Chuck Berry, the Stones and John Lennon. You can hear Havard's love of and reverence for great rock 'n' roll in Wanted to Believe You, Dead Man Walking, Wave Goodbye and Follow it Down from his upcoming CD. Urgent and utterly infectious, these are straightforward, well-constructed songs that demonstrate the songwriter's impressive gifts. Havard has already earned plenty of recognition, for his song-writing and as a superb front man. Havard's debut CD "Vol.1" won praise from both fans and critics. The CD featured members of Canada's Odds and drummer Charlie Quintana (Bob Dylan/Social Distortion). The CD was mixed by Steven Drake (Tragically Hip/54-40). When Havard speaks of his consuming passion for rock 'n' roll, he uncoils a bundle of raw energy that is matched only when he is onstage fronting his own band and playing the music he loves. "A lot of what I do is about relationships and loneliness, just about being on your own on this planet and having rock 'n' roll to scream about it. Sometimes I get really scared that I'm going to block it off and not be able to say anything. But that's why I have rock 'n' roll, it's the only thing I have to get loose." Finally arriving at a point in his career where the songs sound the way he wants them to and there is a CD to prove the point. Jaja, håbe han blir og kommer på førstelaget!!!!:) Havard Nordtveit (born 21 June 1990 in Vats) is a Norwegian football defender who plays for Arsenal FC and the Norway under-19 football team[1]. He has previously played for Vats 94, Skjold IL and F.K. Haugesund, the club where he made his professional debut. He made nine league appearances[2] during the 2007 season for Haugesund in the Norwegian Adeccoligaen[3]. He is considered a bright prospect for the future; during December 2006, clubs such as Manchester United, Tottenham, and Bordeaux registered their interest in signing him[4]. Reports in the Norwegian press claimed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger went to Norway on 11 June 2007 to watch an Adeccoligaen match and begin negotiations to sign him[5]; however, members of the FKH board stated that the club had rejected Arsenal's initial bid[6]. The player himself said that his club was asking for a "supernaturally high" transfer fee[7]. The price being quoted in the Norweigan media was 20 million Norwegian kroner[8] (approximately £1.5 million). A transfer fee was later finalized for £2 million between the two clubs, which was made official on July 3, 2007.[9] Haugesund captain Kevin Nicol stated that Nordtveit is regarded as the "best defender for his age in the world."[10] He made his Arsenal debut in their first pre-season friendly against Barnet F.C. on 14 July 2007. He came on after half-time, replacing Kerrea Gilbert.[11] He was named captain of Arsenal's reserve squad for the first match of the 2007-08 FA Premier Reserve League season; in an interview with Arsenal.com, Nordtveit said he was "honoured" to have been named captain, and that he hoped to continue in that role in the future.[12] Havard Nordtveit scored his first goal for the Arsenal reserves in the 87th minutes in the 2-3 loss to Birmingham City reserves. He returned to playing against the Fulham Reserves when he came on as a 60th minute substitute. He then made his first start since coming back from injury in the Arsenal Reserves 2-1 loss to Birmingham Reserves. Although Nordtveidt has not played for the Arsenal first team in a competitive match, he was named on the substitutes' bench in the final game of the 2007-08 season against Sunderland, along with Vito Mannone, Mark Randall, Armand Traore, and Nacer Barazite; however Nordtveidt did not play.
