Bryn Haworth - Good Job Walking round looking for my place And I can't find rest anywhere I keep hoping for a friendly face But I only see them stare Well it's a good job I know just what I'm looking for I never would have guessed I'd find it here Resting in the arms of my loving Saviour And I'm glad that he's a rescued me I'd been walking in the dark so long That I always knew how to say Yes you're right but you might be wrong How do you know the way Then love touched me And I held my breath As I knew my time had come Now I lies what lies beyond my death And I feel my life's begun And it's a good job I know just what I'm looking for I never would have guessed I'd find it here Resting in the arms of my loving Saviour And I'm glad that he's set me free Feeling good that's what I have to say Got my God so near Holy water washed my sins away And it's left my head so clear And it's a good job I know just what I'm looking for I never would have guessed I'd find it here Resting in the arms of my loving Saviour And I'm glad that he's a rescued me Tags: Bryn Haworth Good Job gospel R&B |

BRYN HAWORTH - 'did'nt do me no good' christian - blues Bryn Haworth came to London from Lancashire in the late sixties to join "Fleur de Lys" a motown/ soul band which became house band for Atlantic Records in England. When the band folded Bryn travelled to California and from there toured extensively in the US in various American bands, including the Jackie Lomax Band, and Wolfgang, a band put together and managed by the legendary Bill Graham, appearing on bills with such artists as Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, Taj Mahal, Moody Blues and others. 1973 he returned to England and was signed to Island records where he made his first LP "Let The Days Go By." He recorded a further album for Island, ("Sunny Side Of The Street"), and then continued his career as a solo recording artist with A&M Records where he recorded "Grand Arrival" (in Nashville with J.J.Cale's producer Audie Ashworth) and "Keep The Ball Rolling". During this period he made numerous radio and TV appearances, as well as touring extensively in England and Europe supporting such artists as Traffic, Bad Company, Gallagher & Lyle and Fairport Convention. He has been called a 'musician's musician' -- a first class rock musician whose music has its roots in blues and r&b. He plays guitars and mandolin and is particularly recognised a remarkable exponent of the slide (or bottleneck) guitar, a technique derived from the blues. His is a more gentle and mellow approach than others which beautifully compliments his highly melodic songs. He has recorded with top musicians including Chris de Burgh, Joan Armatrading, Ian Mathews, and Gerry Rafferty. Amongst his latest sessions have been those for Gerry Rafferty on his latest albums: "On A Wing And A Prayer", "Over My Head", and "Another World" released on the Hyperion label in Jan 2003--listen out in particular for Bryn's slide guitar on the opening track 'All Souls'. Bryn also writes his own songs, and has had several of his own compositions recorded by other artists including Lulu, Sandy Denny, and Mary Black on her 1999 album "Speaking With The Angel". In 1974 Bryn and his wife Sally became Christians and this powerful experience has brought a strong gospel influence into his music. He now travels extensively performing concerts both solo and with a band and leading worship seminars and guitar clinics throughout the world in a wide variety of venues including concert halls, colleges, churches and prisons. He has recorded further albums - "The Gap", "Pass It On", "Wings Of The Morning", "Mountain Mover", "Blue and Gold", "More Than A Singer", "The Bryn Haworth Band Live", "Slide Don't Fret" , "The Finer Things In Life" and "Songs & Hymns" the latter recorded at Fairport Convention's Woodworm Studios in Oxfordshire in February '99. His lastest album, Keep The Faith, is released on Bryn's own label, Bella Music. The title track Keep The Faith is a story about discovering music through listening to the radio. There is a love song, an instrumental, songs with an unashamedly strong Gospel message, and songs of equally unashamed enjoyment of life. Amongst the musicians are Henry Spinetti on drums, who plays with Eric Clapton and more recently is part Katie Melua's band, Dave Bronze, on bass, who has played with many of the Blues and contemporary greats including Eric Clapton & Eric Bibb; there's some great keyboard playing from Mark Edwards; and Steve Gregory and Raul d'Olivera provide a steaming brass section. But if you're a guitar enthusiast, you'll be pleased to know there's lot of guitar on this album. Tags: bryn haworth blues christian slide guitar worship |

Motorbike Ride - Haworth and Stanbury, West Yorkshire Motorbike ride through the village of Haworth and Stanbury in the Worth Valley, West Yorkshire. Haworth is home of the Brontë sisters, is where I went to Middle School, and neighbours Oxenhope, the village in which I spent the first 16 years of my life. This part starts on Blackmoor Road, between Oxenhope and Haworth, turns left onto Brow Top Road, then descends Brow Road, before climbing Bridgehouse Lane, turning right onto Rawdon Road (hello old school!), turning left at the top onto North Street, then West Lane. We continue into the start of Stanbury, but don't enter the village itself, opting to turn left instead onto Reservoir Road and finally ascend Moorside Lane for the return to Oxenhope. FLESH and BLOOD The Movie - Steve Haworth - FLESH and BLOOD The Movie - Steve Haworth - A documentary by Larry Silverman. SYNOPSIS: Steve Haworth is one of the most controversial practitioners operating in the world of radical body modification. He sculpts Teflon and stainless steel implants into horns, stars, and other objects, then surgically places them under people's skin. Some of the most extreme looking people in the world have spent time under Haworth's knife. They're people who've become bored with even full-body tattoos and piercings. They're people willing to endure the pain. They're people like David, who's on a quest to cover himself with stainless steel objects that are not only ornamental, but can be screwed in and out of his body.
