Swing Sweet Pussycat Due to severe lack of representation of the late 90's Lava/Atlantic recording artist's The Atomic Fireballs here on YouTube and everywhere else, I'm forced to add something from my private collection! :D Sorry for the lame quality, it was converted from VHS to DV to .mpg. Enjoy! Here seems to be the only copy I can find of the un-released video of the Atomic Fireballs song, "Swing Sweet Pussycat." Please note member changes included myself on the video film chunks on bass and Kenny Ferry Jr on trumpet, while other parts featuring Matthew Perry, Oliver Platt, Neve Campbell and Dylan McDermott were from outtakes of a scene from the movie "Three To Tango." The scene apparently was cut, but the entire movie featured swing music from us, Royal Crown Review, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and opening title sequence by Brian Setzer. We were the only band that was filmed for the movie though. The original script for this video was crap. Ha ha ha! So at the request of the band, they sent out the Directors, Ondi Timoner & Eric Heimbold, award winning documentary film makers. We ended up in Maryland at a grounds of a mantal institution that was either no longer being used or in mid-renovations, so it was empty. Over two days, we filmed the sequence. This is the second most annoying way to carry a bass (while running down stairs, etc). Second only to trying to march with a double bass with an all-trombone band playing dixie while playing. The actresses included Pamela Torro. My favorite part? Spitting mouthfuls of toothpaste at the camera during the "dressing room" section! Also fun mention - the fire we're all around in suits was real. We made it from construction debris in a metal trash can ... which proceeded to become molten metal during the shoot! Ha ha ha Is that enough info, Dink? Sometimes my life feels like Matthew Perry's career ... one long "I'm not gay" joke.
