Supertramp - It's raining again "It's Raining Again" is a song recorded by Supertramp and released as a single from their 1982 album ...Famous Last Words.... The song was written by Roger Hodgson, with lyrics about a person searching for love after breaking up with his previous lover. It peaked at #11 on the U.S. charts. All of the voices on the track were done by Roger although in live versions John Helliwell and Scott Page sang some of the harmonies on stage. During the ending tenor saxophone solo from John Helliwell on the song, there are kids singing the old nursery rhyme "It's raining it's pouring the old man is snoring" along to the ending of the track. The video for the song was directed by future Highlander director Russell Mulcahy and depicts a fellow who goes to visit his girlfriend only for her to write him a Dear John letter explaining that the relationship is over. Then the man leaves his small town behind for Los Angeles and encounters all sorts of people including a scene where he suffers a back alley beating only to find his true love at the end and dancing in the rain with her. The five members of Supertramp made brief cameo appearances in the video for the song. At the beginning, John Helliwell is a street musician playing an alto saxophone (his appearance lasts for roughly three seconds). Before the first chorus, Dougie Thomson appears as a Greyhound bus driver (this was the last filmed video where Thomson would appear with his then trademark moustache and beard (he would be permanently clean shaven as of the video for "My Kind of Lady"); his screen time was three seconds). Hodgson plays one of the passengers on the bus playing a guitar (he is in the video for the briefest time out of the band members, one second). Lastly, Rick Davies and Bob Siebenberg played two rednecks in a pick-up truck (their appearance lasts for close to an accumulated 10 seconds). Tags: supertramp rock 80´s retro music videoclips |

Hornby Island, BC with BOOMER & MELINDA Great trip to Hornby Island. It required 3 ferry rides. In the video we visit Helliwell Park which has a scenic 5 Km hike around the cliffs. It is known for bald eagles who like to soar in the high winds. We were lucky enough to see quite a few. From there we went to Tribune Bay. They call this spot the Canadian Hawaii. Try and picture it in summer. Warm for swimming. We are there in April. It is mild but not warm.
