Virtual Tour of i^3 hyper-media Virtual Tour of i^3 hyper-media Sarah: i^3 is Arturo's new company that I have been helping him build for the past few months. It is also the new home for B-17 (besides my apt, the streets, and everywhere else). I am a "creative" there, and it's been a crazy and exciting transition. The company itself is really unique and....kinda hard to explain. Maybe Arturo wants to try? Arturo: I think this video gets pretty close to capturing the spirit of what we're doing. When Sarah and I started working on B-17, I never imagined it would lead here - an awesome, astonishing, phantasmagorical adventure. Sarah: I led this virtual tour for the i^3 website (i-cubedhypermedia.com). I guess it is an industry norm to do corporate 'walk-throughs', and we kind of played on some those stereotypes and tried to challenge them. So uh.....I have no idea what it looks like to people outside of that circle, but it will be funny to find out. Enjoy! New B-17 episodes are in the works! P.S. The space already looks so much better since we shot this! New stuff is getting added everyday. I'll keep you updated... sarah Tags: bseventeen b-17 b17 production post-production hyper media i-cubed future avant-garde nbc cbs abc fox underground film |

Hypermedia Evolution The Hypermedia Evolution is a video installation by Guido Bertling. Each white dot is a radio transponder (RFID Chip) representing a video fragment. The lines interconnecting the white dots represent content links. With the use of a handheld computer, viewers could zap through the non linear film simple by moving it close to one of the white dots. Video fragments are reedited open source video fragments or pictures. Tags: hypermedia evolution guido bertling aki video art rfid hx4700 non linear film open source |

8=8 // 8=8=Concert=Performance=Demo 8=8 is a group of 4 programmers = 4 composers = 4 VJs = 4 musicians = 4 artists. All four bring their own programming, visual and musical sensibilities to a collective instrument, the Abstract Machine Hypertable. By moving one's hands over the surface of the Hypertable, images and sounds are generated, creating a unique opportunity for musical improvisation. 8=8 uses the Hypertable to perform singular programs/instruments in a concert=performance=demo context. // 8=8=Program All programs are generated by the members of 8=8. There is no distinction between performer = musician = artist = programmer. All members have been exploring computer programming as an artistic medium for several years, notably through collaborative research at the Atelier Hypermedia (http://hypermedia.loeil.org). // 8=8=Instrument Although the Hypertable was originally designed as an interface for algorithmic cinema, 8=8 quickly discovered its musical potential as an instrument. Each program is essentially an entire visual and musical software/instrument in and of itself. Some of the programs allow for direct manipulation of pre-recorded samples, other instruments generate sounds on-the-fly, while still others combine these two notions with the idea of composition taking place in real-time, on the surface of the table, and in front of the public. Some compositions=programs=instruments are visually baroque, others are on the contary are minimalist. All work off the principle that image+interaction pilots the sound generation. New Spyro Profile Icon Hello guys, thought your like to know that I have decided to change my Spyro The Dragon Profile Icon. The current one was from the first Spyro The Dragon game, and it saw Spyro confronting Gnasty Gnorc, so yea that Icon was nice, but it's time for a change guys! My New Spyro Profile Icon sees me within the Crystal Glacier level in Spyro 2, and I'm checking out George the Snow Leopard. I really like this level, and SpyroJam86 (As known as Chris) inspired me to go there and capture a new profile icon, so thanks Chris, you rule. Hope you like my new icon. NOTE: This image was captured by me using my HyperMedia program, handy little program, although it was kinda hard to capture the exact image I wanted, due to Spyro opening his wings etc, blur etc etc. Tags: Spyro The Dragon New Profile Icon Channel Crystal Glacier George Snow Leopard Chris Image Capture HyperMedia Program video game |
