Qualitative/Quantitative Feedback with IdeaScale.com IdeaScale enables companies to build living/breathing Digg style communities. IdeaScale is based on the simple model of crowdsourcing. It begins with an idea posted to your IdeaScale community by a user. Each idea can be expanded through comments by the community. The ultimate measure of an idea is determined by a voting system. Any idea can be voted to the top or buried back down to the bottom. It combines the "wisdom of the crowds" concept with Web 2.0 models like Digg. More information at http://ideascale.com. A minor/blues scale ideas for bass Some ideas for fills, solos etc Im playin over an A minor chord, first a blues scale with examples Then a dorian minor scale 1 2 b3 4 5 6 b7(when you play a funk tune in minor over 1 chord , you will probably use this). Then some chromatic note examples And some examples of vibrato, gliss and bends. The music im using is 4 looped bars of George Duke's "Reach for it". Just to give you some ideas of what do with scales:-) Something went wrong in the recording, the bass sound is kinda "wobbly", but i'm sure that you'll get the general idea. The Scale of Atheism and the ASU schism Ranking atheists according to their feelings about religion, and the application of this scale to the schism created by the ASU. I have my own ideas about whether the ASU is a good idea (I think it's kind of stupid) but I am trying to be a little open minded here. I am open to discussion, but the ASU appears to be a very bad idea. Tags: save_me_jebus Atheist Movement Atheism Politics Art Revolution free speech freethought freethinker ASU |

Scale Bell 222 radio control helicopter This is my Bell 222 .30 size scale heli. I just finished it a few months ago. It's been flown several times and is very stable. The fuselage kit is Century/Funkey. It has retractable landing gear, full navigation lights, including a scratchbuilt landing light that lights up when the gear goes down, and turns off as the gear go up. I laid over 2500 rivets using a syringe and Elmers glue before painting. The rivets around the vents at the top are "stick on" flush rivets from Germany, as most of the details such as handles and antennas. The side windows were made with clear sheet styrene, and all glass was painted with a tinted smoke paint. The idea is for someone to tell that there is something inside but not be able to tell what it is. I searched for weeks leading up to painting to find a color scheme I liked. I pretty much knew that I wanted royal blue and white, and ended up designing my own scheme based around a 222 I saw for sale on Ebay. I used PPG base/clear. The mechanics are Kyosho Nexus with an OS 32 engine, Futaba 401 gyro w/9253 digital rudder control, Futaba radio, Helimax carbon fiber blades, and Zeal turnbuckle linkages ****For all those who want to see her fly, click "more from this helipilot27"****One more thing, if you want to fly it and have Realflight, I designed a version for you to enjoy, download it at: http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=4482 Tags: bell 222 rc heli scale helicopter nexus |

Getting In Contact With Google http://live.besttechie.net - I have been working on a project for a number of months now and unfortunately I am unable able to fund it. The size and scale of the project has made the price far beyond what I anticipated to spend. This is why I am reaching out to the YouTube and web community to help me get in contact with someone at Google. I want to provide my ideas and thoughts to them to make this dream of mine into a reality. The idea has not been done before (at least not to the scale of which I am aiming for). I'm asking you, my subscribers, friends, video viewers, everyone to help make this happen. Thanks! Jeff Weisbein Tags: big contacting funding google ideas projects scale thoughts web reality |

KIST, Rwanda, Large-scale biogas plants KIST won an Ashden Award for Sustainable Energy in 2005. To find out more visit http://www.ashdenawards.org/winners/kist05 The Kigali Institute of Science, Technology and Management (KIST), has developed and installed large-scale biogas plants in prisons in Rwanda to treat toilet wastes and generate biogas for cooking. After the treatment, the bio-effluent is used as fertiliser for production of crops and fuelwood. Large prisons, each housing typically 5,000 prisoners, are a legacy of the troubled past of Rwanda. Sewage disposal from such concentrated groups of people is a major health hazard for both the prison and the surrounding area. The prisons also use fuelwood for cooking, putting great pressure on local wood supplies. Using biogas digesters to manage animal or human sewage is not a new idea, but in Rwanda has been applied on an enormous scale, and with great success. Each prison is supplied with a linked system of underground digesters, so the sight and smell of the sewage are removed. KIST staff manage the construction of the system, and provide on-the-job training to both civilian technicians and prisoners. The biogas is piped to the prison kitchens, and halves the use of fuelwood. The fertiliser benefits both crop production and fuelwood plantations. The first prison biogas plant started operation in 2001, and has run with no problems since then. Biogas plants are now running in six prisons with a total population of 30,000 people, and KIST is expecting to install three more each year. The Ashden judges were highly impressed with the scale of these biogas plants, and the benefits which they provide in a difficult environment - sanitation, fuel and new skills for prisoners. They also recognised the significant potential for using such systems in other institutions like schools, hospitals, and on dairy farms - work which KIST has started to undertake. E Blues Scale Guitar Lesson Blues scales are minor pentatonic scales with an extra note called the b5th (flat 5th). I made this lesson as a fun way to practice an E blues scale (or any scale for that matter). Playing your scales on one string is usually not as efficient as moving across different strings but it is a great way to see the intervallic relationship between notes (half steps, whole steps and in the case of blues scales a minor 3rd). To hear this scale/riff played with a crazy background track (part of it is an idea from one of the new tripfuse tunes)and an awesome way to practice with a beat by beat breakdown visit: http://www.musiclearning.com/lessoncentral/riffs/onestringfun/onestringfun.html It's free :) Tags: guitar lesson blues scale pull offs open strings fast picking |

Little more than ants on the cosmic scale From our small corner of the universe, we can think ourselves the smartest around, but we are still so briefly out of the slime. On the scale of potential for intelligence and sophistication in the universe, we are as little more than ants. This clip from Babylon 5 vividly describes this idea, and how ignorant we surely are of the full majesty of the universe. Tags: universe mystery wonder space cosmos babylon5 |
