Michael Jackson's Sonic 3 Short documentary I made which describes possible links between Michael Jackson's music and Sonic 3. This Documentary isn't just random comparisons, listen to the start. Roger Hector, who ran SEGA's Technical Institute said Micahel was planned to work on it. We *have* asked SEGA because HE WORKED FOR SEGA! Please take note of this before accusing the documentary of making un-validated claims. Since this documentary was made, there have been numerous discoveries showing that most of the people featured in the credits list worked with Michael Jackson at some stage. About Milt Jackson: Milton (Milt) Jackson (January 1, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan -- October 9, 1999) was an American jazz vibraphonist and one of the most important figures in the hard bop style. A very expressive player, Jackson differentiated himself from other vibraphonists in his attention to variations on harmonics and rhythm. He was particularly fond of the 12-bar blues at slow tempos. He preferred to set the vibraphone's oscillator to a low 3.3 revolutions per second (as opposed to Lionel Hampton's speed of 10 revolutions per second) for a more subtle vibrato. Jackson was also a capable pianist, and sometimes performed professionally on that instrument. He also sang on a few albums.Soul believer, e.g. He was discovered by Dizzy Gillespie, who hired him for his sextet in 1946. He quickly acquired experience working with the most important figures in jazz of the era, including John Coltrane, Woody Herman, Howard McGhee, Thelonious Monk, and Charlie Parker. In the Gillespie big band one of his jobs was to play in a quartet with John Lewis, Percy Heath, and Kenny Clarke while the horn section took a break from the demanding high-register horn parts. This group became the Modern Jazz Quartet (MJQ), which had a long independent career of 20 years until disbanding in 1974 over financial problems (though it reformed in 1981 and last recorded in 1993). Jackson then toured alone, performing in various small combos. From the mid-70s to the mid-80s, Jackson recorded for Norman Granz's Pablo Records, including the classic, "Jackson, Johnson, Brown & Company" (1983), featuring Jackson with J.J. Johnson on trombone, Ray Brown on bass, backed by Tom Ranier on piano, guitarist John Collins, and drummer Roy McCurdy. He also guested on recordings by many leading jazz, blues and soul artists, such as B.B. King, Ray Charles, etc. His composition "Bags' Groove" ("Bags" was a nickname given to him by a bass player in Detroit. The 'bags' under his eyes were from staying up late) is a jazz standard. Jarvis Cocker Interrupts Michael Jackson's Earth Song 1996 *Taken From Wiki* Cocker invaded the stage at the 1996 BRIT Awards in a spur of the moment protest against Michael Jackson's performance. Jackson performed surrounded by children and a rabbi, while making 'Christ-like' poses and performing his then-recent hit, "Earth Song". Cocker and his friend Peter Mansell (a former Pulp member) performed an impromptu stage invasion in protest. In the ensuing confusion, as security attempted to eject Cocker from the stage, three child performers received minor injuries. Cocker was later detained and interviewed by the police on suspicion of assault. He was subsequently released without charge. Opinions from the press on Cocker's actions were mixed. The March 2, 1996, edition of Melody Maker, for example, suggested Cocker should be knighted, and Cocker's friend Noel Gallagher, of Oasis fame claimed "Jarvis Cocker is a star and he should be given an MBE". Gallagher is also quoted as saying of Jackson's behaviour "For Michael Jackson to come over to this country after what's all gone on - and I think we all know what I'm talking about here - to dress in a white robe, right, thinking he's the Messiah - I mean who does he think he is? Me?"[1] However, other journalists and the organisers of the BRIT Awards were outraged by Cocker's behaviour. In response to the ensuing media scrutiny of the action, Cocker responded, "My actions were a form of protest at the way Michael Jackson sees himself as some kind of Christ-like figure with the power of healing...
