The Stillhouse Jammers

Video clip No 1. Recorded for a music special at LATV Studio in Leominster Massachusetts. the Stillhouse Jammers are four accomplished musicians from Central New England. Their show consists of a wide variety of music to entertain you that we affectionately refer to as "rural & retro bluegrass"! You will hear traditional fiddle/banjo numbers, hard-driving bluegrass, tender ballads, as well as several original tunes while each member takes their turn at the mic for lead & harmony vocals. The Stillhouse Jammers are very proud to have placed 2nd in the band competition at the 2006 Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival up against some of the very best talent in the Northeast Rich Hamilton Rich has been fiddling and singing with a number of bands since 1979, most recently with Gopher Broke. He's also appeared with Karl Shiflett & Big Country Show from TX, Big Country Bluegrass of Va and others. A multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, he also spends alot of time on the clawhammer banjo and guitar. Bob Dean Bob's been playing bluegrass guitar since 1990. He's appeared with Gopher Broke from Vermont and a couple of local bluegrass bands in the southern NH area before forming the Stillhouse Jammers with Rich. A soulful singer of ballads and drivin grass standards, he also contributes original tunes to the bands playlist. Al Stapleford We are quite pleased to have Al join the Jammers on banjo. Al, a self-taught banjo picker, has been playing 40 years and we love the energy he brings to the band. He has performed with many New England bands such as Herb Applin & Berkshire Mtn. Boys, Pine Hill Rambers, Lost River Ramblers and Monadnock. Al has many original banjo numbers which set the grass afire. Carl Jacobs Carl's been playing bass over 45 years and has his own distinctive style. He's a former member of Wade Mainer's Mountaineers and recorded with them in the 60's. He's a composer as well as a vocalist and can play anything from bluegrass to jazz to reels to rhumbas. Carl is a master of the elusive baritone vocal part.

Feels Like Rain John Hiatt backyard Jammers

The BackYard Jammers and friends do a very nice job of the John Hiatt song. This was done at a Halloween part theat I have every year for Jody's Birthday (Oct 30). Joining the band on stage for this one is Russ Glass on Harmonica, Niel Schownfeld on Drums, Vernon Wills (from V and the Wholly Cats)playing a great lead and rhythm Guitar, Holly Goulard on Back up Vocals. Back Yard Jammers ar Curt Seely on Guitar Corey Barge on Bass, Gord barge on Guitar and and Lead vocals and Jody Barge doing a fantastic job as always on the harmonies. Hope you enjoy.
