San Japan - Zero Day Anime - Cosplay Fashion Show An interview on Great Day SA on October 30th, 2007. This was a segment to promote Zero Day Anime, a one day convention which happened November 10th, 2007 being put together by San Japan and Our Lady Of The Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. This was a chat with the host Bridget as they chatted with me along with Darrell Hoberer from OLLU about anime, cosplay and conventions on a morning talk show, KENS 5 [CBS]. Japanese Zero, P-38 & Hellcat Flight Demonstration- AWESOME! This is a very interesting video clip of footage that I took in 2005 in the crystal-clear air at the Palm Springs Air Museum (Calif.). This condition is what is appropriately termed "severe clear." The clip starts with impressive engine startups of the Planes of Fame Museum's (Chino, Calif.) P-38J and Japanese A6M5 Zero and also the PSAM Grumman Hellcat. The POF Zero is the only one flying with the original Sakae ("Prosperity") 14-cylinder engine. A very unique sound due to its 14 separate exhaust stubs. Compare that sound to the 18-cylinder P&W R-2800 of the Hellcat (including a B-E-A-S-T-L-Y back-fire!) and the smooth and refined, turbocharger-muffled sound of the P-38's twin Allison V-1710s.Flybys of all three aircraft follow. GREAT sounds of these three rare aircraft! Man, it doesn't get more fun than this to us warbird enthusiasts, does it? This is the kind of great warbird stuff that we are routinely treated to in SoCal USA on a two-to-three-times-a-month basis during parts of the year. This airport is the home of the Palm Springs Air Museum. Japanese Zero Gets a Wedgie, + FlyLites installed & flights. FlyLite Light Tubes are very bright, flexible and use very little power. Putting a green one on the right wing and red on the left, (so that the lights can be seen from any angle), makes night flying easier. The controller and 1 light tube costs $24.95. The second light tube plugs in and costs $12.95, both from Great Planes Mfg. Sorry for the poor visibility, but cameras are hard to use in the dark. Rhiannon Waits Reading the Energy From a Japanese Zero Shot on Base at NAS Museum in Pensacola Florida. The man is director of restoration of numerous vintage aircraft at the base. Rhiannon shows her psychic ability in reading the energy from the plane. Size limitation kept the video from being in full. Japanese Zero Startup - Genuine ORIGINAL Sakae Engine !! This is an interesting and historical clip of an engine startup of the Planes of Fame Museum's (Chino, Calif. USA) Japanese A6M5 Zero fighter. This is the only Zero flying in the world today with the original Sakae 31 ("Prosperity") 14-cylinder engine. A very sharp, rare and unusual sound! This aircraft was captured on Saipan in 1944 and shipped to the US for flight tests at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland. None other than Charles Lindbergh was one of the pilots that personally tested this particular aircraft. John Maloney is the pilot in the video. If you'd like, also check out my other warbird videos.
