JUAN SK Kagawads: FATIMA ANNE CANLAS MYLENE SALANO SHIELY MAE CRUZ MARY GOLD NUNEZ ANNA MARIE GALGUERRA KATHRINE JOY LOMIBAO MADELINE VALERIE BALER Battle cry of 2002: "Pangungunahan: Kaunlaran para sa Kabataan" ("Taking Lead: Development for the Youth") August 15, 2002, Barangay Talipapa - This was the day the newly elected members of Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Talipapa, headed by SK Chairman Eric Juan and his seven SK Kagawads, officially began their term of office. Since their oath of office, the SK Council already made history in the second district of Quezon City by having a Junior College student as SK Chairman and having an all-female SK Kagawads dubbed as "SK Angels." For the past (five) 5 years, the SK Council initiated long-term projects such multi-purpose halls and stages, fiberglass boards and pupil's park. Annual projects of the SK Council, on the other hand, includes Summer Sportsfest and Christmas Candy Drive (Gift giving). The SK Council continues to support various youth projects and programs initiated by different organizations and groups (community, civic, religous, political, etc). As to education, the SK council intiated and worked for the establishment of Day Care Centers by providing classrooms, chalkboards, cabinets, tables and chairs. Currently, there are four (4) fully furnished day care centers to be found in different areas in the barangay catering more than 200 students belonging to less fortunate families. Now the SK Council recently converted its office to a computer and livelihood center.
