It also represented the film début for Dimple Kapadia and the first leading role for Raj Kapoor's son, Rishi Kapoor. The movie is known to be a trend-setter in its own right. She has done playback singing for over 980 Bollywood movies, and has sung songs in over twenty Indian languages. She is the elder sister of the equally accomplished singer, Asha Bhosle.... Awards and recognitions; Lata Mangeshkar has won several awards and honors, including Padma Bhushan (1969), Padma Vibhushan (1999), Dada Saheb Phalke Award (1989), Bharat Ratna (2001), three National Film Awards, and 12 Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards. She has also won four Filmfare Best Female Playback Awards. In 1969, she made the unusual gesture of giving up Filmfare Best Female Playback Award, in order to promote fresh talent. Shailendra Singh was a legendary Indian playback singer who sang several popular Hindi songs during the late seventies and the early eighties. He had many hit songs to his credit. The renowned film maker Raj Kapoor gave Singh a break when he signed him for Bobby. The song Main Shayar Tho Nahin became a big hit after which offers started pouring in. His song Humne Tumko Dekha from the film Khel Khel Mein rocked the entire nation. However, his popularity was short lived. He even tried his hand at acting but his debut film flopped...
