Burger King Manager Helps Thieves Rob Her Own Store MOYOCK, N.C. (WAVY.com) Closing time at the Burger King in Moyock... An employee took out the trash, and two men followed him back inside. Several cameras record a potentially dangerous situation. One captured "the employee that took the trash being led into the freezer area," according to the lead investigator on the case, Sgt. Ray Matusko. Matusko is the lead investigator on the case and he told Wavy.com something about this crime was suspicious from the start. Very early on in the investigation it was apparent that the manager of the Burger King had assisted the armed robbery... She didn't appear scared. She [had] to ring the bell at the back door and one of the robbery suspects has to come let her back in." As we watched the recordings, Matusko said "There she is following him like they're best friends." Matusko identified the manager as 22 year old Shaquandra Williams. She was seen several times, on different cameras, on her own while the robbers were in the store. Even after one suspects pointed the weapon at her in the office and then walked out with the gun and a bag officers say held the cash - the manager walked out behind him. Matusko said, "During the course of the crime she could have left and gone and got help." But he said, she did not. "In her account, they told her just to act like everything is normal," Matuska said. Matusko said her account quickly fell apart. Williams turned herself in to face aiding and abetting charges. Police say the two men involved in the crime were 20 year old Maurice Stenall Mallory and 24 year old William Daniel Liverman. Officers say they believe Liverman was the suspect with the semi-automatic handgun. Matusko says Liverman was also on a cell phone during the robbery - getting information about the whereabouts of a deputy patrolling the area. Investigators say a fourth suspect, a 24 year old Tamara Hoskins turned herself in this morning. She's accused of driving the get-away car. Hoskins and the manager, Williams, have already posted bond. The two guys have not - and they're still in jail. Matusko said Williams may have believed she would not get caught because the store owner had led employees to believe most of the cameras in the store were not working.
