You'll get more out of it.) This is from episode 29 (Lesson Number 1) of the Dragon Ball Z Season 1 Remastered Set. Goku continues fighting with Nappa as not a single punch has landed on him. Nappa is completely overpowered. FUNimation originally did not dub the first 2.5 Sagas (Vegeta Saga, Namek Saga, and half of the Captain Ginyu Saga). They only got around to it much later but by then, they fired Bruce Faulconer who made the music for DBZ. The reason was because he simply wouldn't change his style of music for Dragon Ball GT which makes perfect sense. A musician doesn't do shit like that, especially when he writes the best music for any show in existence. The point is, instead, FUNimation had to create other music and it SUCKED. Therefore, I decided to use the Japanese music for scenes before Faulconer came into the picture. Besides, the Japanese music is good until that point. The problem with it is that it starts getting repetitive. It also matches less and less as the show progresses. It eventually makes no sense and theme music is annihilated considering the same songs are used for every "evil" character, as an example. ***I can upload more clips by request. All of the Dragon Ball Z Remastered Season Sets were captured in 1080p High Definition then put on DVDs in widescreen format. It was brought down to 480p when put on the DVDs but that doesn't change the fact of the detail they captured it in. It's uncut, with an additional audio track of 5.1 surround with original Japanese music. It's also in the original framerate and with the more natural, intended colors. It can also be watched with the Japanese audio, subtitled. *I took the same frame from both captures, old FUNimation and new. I TOOK THE WORST POSSIBLE CASE SCENARIO THAT THE WIDESCREEN CAN DO!! WORST WORST WORST!!! where Goku is turning Super Saiyan, it's not like this because they show from his body to his hair so they are able to make the capture a little higher and capture more of his hair. It actually looked better in widescreen because you were actually able to see his ears. But the quality difference is insane. Have a look. The top one is from Dragon Box and the bottom is from these remastered sets. (NOTE that these are not full quality pics and that colors are a little altered in both these shots and they look better in reality. Now that we're done with the worst of the worst, look at how much MOST OF IT was cropped as I have come to notice. Mostly, there's BARELY ANYTHING cropped from top to bottom and a lot more seen from side to side. Also, once again, just like on any professional review, frameshots of anything, especially when looking at difference in quality are a very bad representation.
