Roadmaster Falcon 2 All-Terrain Non Binding Tow Bar Review - etrailer.com Today we are going to show you part number RM-522 from Roadmaster. This is the Roadmaster Falcon all terrain non binding tow bar, rated for 6000 pounds. A couple facts are that it comes with a non binding freedom latch that disconnects the first time every time. It also features an auto lock towing mechanism which allows both tow bars to extend or retract for a quick connection. Also if you drive away the arms will self center and automatically lock themselves together. The use of the stainless steel components allow for smooth and trouble free operation which prevents corrosion that will bind up moving parts. Now we will go ahead and install it in a typical 2 inch receiver hitch and show you some more features it has. This part number does come complete with the base bar and the tow bar itself. Also the base bar itself, the hardware it mounts to on your base plates on your vehicle it does come complete with the hardware to attach to that. Now we will show you a typical application of a tow bar. It has 2 axis of movement. It has up and down and also left to right movement. And we will show you when it is time to disconnect your vehicle from the RV it is pretty simple. First off what you want to do is disconnect it from the base bar itself. And that is pretty simple by just undoing the snap pin here and pulling out the actual pin itself. At this point you would pull away your car. When you are not using it you can fold it up and store it on the RV and out of the way. All you have to do is lift up on the bar, fold it together, push it up, and this little bracket here will hold it in place and you leave it like so. Or you can fold it to either side to store it out of the way. When you do need to use it, you just unfold it and attach it back to your car. When you are ready to use your tow bar, to reverse the procedure pull this latch out of the way and extend your arms out. They do not have to be an even length either. The car does not have to be perfectly aligned with the adjust ability of the arms going left and right and independent movement of them. Plus with the telescoping effect you can get your car close to it then pull them up and adjust them from there. We have the base bar crooked so that your car does not have to be straight on. So you can go ahead and leave it just like that. So when you take off do a couple left and right turns and that will help center the tow bar and it will actually lock itself into place. Also built to the inside of these tow bars are extra guide rails on the outside that you can run your safety chains or electrical cords through. There you have it for part number RM-522 from Roadmaster, the Falcon all terrain non binding tow bar rated for 6000 pounds. Texas Republican slams Bush "demented philosophy of conquest Full story at http://www.thebluestate.com/2007/02/video_texas_rep.html Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) stood his ground and joined the twenty-or-so other Republicans that have decided to vote with the House Democrats in favor of a non-binding Iraq resolution that condemns President Bush's troop surge. Speaking of Bush, Congressman Paul was very straight-forward in his displeasure for Bush's "demented philosophy of conquest." Here is a portion of his floor speech: RON PAUL: "In recent decades, our policies have been driven by neoconservative empire radicalism; profiteering in the military industrial complex; misplaced do-good internationalism; mercantilistic notions regarding the need to control natural resources; and blind loyalty to various governments in the Middle East." You can add Ron Paul's name to the small list of the few level-headed Republicans left in Congress. Tags: Ron Paul Iraq war debate congress House non-binding resolution |

Dem exposes infamous 1991 Cheney quote about Iraq Full story at http://www.thebluestate.com/2007/02/video_dem_expos.html During today's House floor debate on the non-binding Iraq resolution that condemns the escalation, Congressman Charles Gonzalez (D-TX) quotes Dick Cheney's 1991 opposition to the idea of occupying Iraq. The same thing that Cheney warned against in 1991 is happening today as a result of the policies of his Administration. CHENEY: "If you're going to go in and try to topple Saddam Hussein, you have to go to Baghdad. Once you've got Baghdad, it's not clear what you do with it. It's not clear what kind of government you would put in place of the one that's currently there now. Is it going to be a Shia regime, a Sunni regime or a Kurdish regime? Or one that tilts toward the Baathists, or one that tilts toward the Islamic fundamentalists? How much credibility is that government going to have if it's set up by the United States military when it's there? How long does the United States military have to stay to protect the people that sign on for that government, and what happens to it once we leave?" Chinese Farmers Tortured After Appealing CHAN: We have another story from China highlighting the poor treatment of farmers. Local Communist authorities are taking their land for building factories but are not giving the farmers fair compensation. When the farmers complain or appeal, police and hired thugs are called in to crack down on them. The farmers contacted our reporters hoping to get their story heard. Here's more from Qinghe District in Jiangsu province. STORY: The farmers tell us that in 2006, the local authorities threatened them, saying if they did not take a low payment for their land, the CCP would destroy their crops. When the farmers refused, the Secretary of Politics and Law in Qinghe District, and the police director, sent in about a thousand police and thugs. They used tear gas, electric batons, and fire extinguishers to suppress the villagers. [Local Farmer]: "The secretary of the Politics and Law Committee, and director of the police department, led nearly a thousand people. Many are police, some are workers from other regions. They paid these workers 100 yuan and told them to beat us up. The local villagers had no other means but to fight them. We had no choice! They injured many villagers. Some women were dragged along the ground and had their clothes ripped off. Even people passing by were beaten." After this happened the villagers went to appeal in Beijing for their rights. But they were intercepted and detained in a basement in a detention center midway [Local Farmer]: "A lot of villagers went to appeal and were stopped many times. No one has addressed this issue for us. When they went to appeal, they were removed from the appeal office by the Huaian police. The appealers were shoved into a car and tortured on the trip back from Beijing to Huaian. The villagers were then locked in a basement. Police used plastic sticks to beat their faces. They said that if you appeal we will eliminate your family." Qinghe District has about 600 families who have farmed this area for generations. Now the two thousand residents are struggling to make a living. Tags: China torture farmer appeal human rights Qinghe Jiangsu |
