Nonviolent Communication Part 1 Marshall Rosenberg Marshall Rosenberg created Nonviolent Communication and is Founder and Director of Educational Services for the Center for Nonviolent Communication, an international non-profit organization based in California. Dr Rosenberg talks about Teilhard de Chardin's theories of human evolution which sought to return to a more natural way - one where no-one advances at the expense of another. He speaks of his own experiences working with Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and how enriching the lives of others is the most rewarding work mankind can engage in. Rosenberg on Nonviolent Communication ~ NVC Visionary Leader Sees Hope for World Peace Marshall B. Rosenberg, Ph.D., author of the internationally acclaimed Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life, and Speak Peace in a World of Conflict, has taken up where Gandhi, King and other past visionary leaders for peace left off. An internationally renowned peacemaker, Rosenberg's credentials rank him as one of the foremost new leaders for world peace. His visionary communication process, Nonviolent Communication (NVC), is the cornerstone of what global leaders, educators and beyond are identifying as the missing link to the solution we all seek. Viewed through NVC eyes, all anger and violence - both in the world at large and in our own personal lives - is a counter-productive attempt by people to meet their needs. My '"Ex" (CIA Agent Steel) and Non-Violent Communication p3 This is Paula Gloria's last part of a series of three critiques of herself (using principles of non-violent communication) commenting on an original encounter (edited to 28 minutes for her daily TV show "Farther Down the Rabbit Hole") with a possible STILL CIA agent (Robert Steele) at a hacker's conference last summer. Of particular interest is that the leading proponent of MIHOP (Made 9/11 Happen on Purpose), Webster Tarpley has been lauded by same Robert Steele in a (very) recent book review calling Webster's _9/11 Synthetic Terror - Made in USA_ the best in over 770 he has reviewed although at the mic Paula Gloria struggled to explain to his professed ignorance of the difference between LIHOP (Let It Happen On Purpose) and MIHOP (Made It Happen On Purpose- that is that our government killed us on 9/11)....a position that Robert really does not go to even if he says today he respects Webster's book. The plot ever thickens.....and all serious attention to this does make a big difference. THEY are watching and that's GOOD (clear thinking is worth watching). Thank you everyone for tuning into this... Tags: 9/11 Truth Robert Steele HOPE Hackers On Planet Earth MIHOP |

Tacoma Police arrest nonviolent protesters against Strykers Three people were arrested for peacefully protesting at the Port of Tacoma at about 12:30 AM Monday morning, March 5, 2007. They were protesting the shipment of Stryker Brigade armored vehicles from Fort Lewis to the illegal war and occupation in Iraq. Caitlin Esworthy was arrested within second after the Tacoma Police Disorder Response Team confronted the protest. Another person, Navy veteran Wally Cuddeford, was then brutally dragged on his stomach (and tasered three times) just after his arrest was captured in this video. Another protester (Jeff Berryhill) was later shot by a rubber bullet as he nonviolently held a sign at the edge of the street (a better view is in the Video Response). Police also aimed shotguns and tasers directly at protesters. The Tacoma police appeared to become less violent after the TV media finally arrived. All charges against the three arrestees were dropped the next day. These protests were part of a continuation of actions begun last year against the use of the Port of Olympia to ship offensive weapons to Iraq. The military at Fort Lewis decided this year to avoid the use of the Port of Olympia (when Thurston County asked it to pay any security and litigation costs), but rather to ship arms at the Port of Tacoma in Pierce County. For background information see http://www.omjp.org (then click Port 2006 and 2007.) Both last year's protests and this year's are not directed at the troops, but rather to support them by ending the war as soon as possible and getting them home this year. In the background you can hear members of Iraq Veterans Against the War exhorting their fellow soldiers to question the war (several soldiers flashed peace signs). Other Tacoma and Olympia groups leading the rally were Port Militarization Resistance and Students for a Democratic Society. The Dalai Lama on Nonviolent Opposition - Pico Iyer Complete video at: http://fora.tv/2008/04/20/The_Open_Road_with_Pico_Iyer Dalai Lama biographer Pico Iyer discusses the exiled leader's philosophy of nonviolent opposition to the Chinese occupation of Tibet. ----- Pico Iyer has been engaged in conversation with the Dalai Lama (a friend of his father's) for the last three decades - an ongoing exploration of his message and its effectiveness. Now, in his insightful, impassioned book, Iyer captures the paradoxes of the Dalai Lama's position: though he has brought the ideas of Tibet to world attention, Tibet itself is being remade as a Chinese province; though he was born in one of the remotest, least developed places on earth, he has become a champion of globalism and technology. He is a religious leader who warns against being needlessly distracted by religion; a Tibetan head of state who suggests that exile from Tibet can be an opportunity; an incarnation of a Tibetan god who stresses his everyday humanity. Moving from Dharamsala, India - the seat of the Tibetan government-in-exile - to Lhasa, Tibet, to venues in the West, where the Dalai Lama's pragmatism, rigor, and scholarship are sometimes lost on an audience yearning for mystical visions, The Open Road illuminates the hidden life, the transforming ideas, and the daily challenges of a global icon - Grace Cathedral Pico Iyer is a British-born essayist and novelist of Indian descent. He is most recently the author of The Open Road: The Global Journey of the Fourteenth Dalai Lama. Non-violent Greek activist arrested by Israeli Occupation A non-violent Greek activist was arrested on Friday May 25, 2007, at a non-violent demonstration in the village of Artas, Bethlehem, Palestine. The demonstration was organized by Palestinians and joined by Israeli and international solidarity activists. On Sunday, May 20, Israeli Occupation Forces uprooted 28 apricot and date trees in order to build a sewage system for the Illegal Israeli colony of Efrata. Israel is also continuing to build the Apartheid Wall right through the center of this village. The Greek activist has been charged with "assault leading to injury" and "disrupting soldiers work," both of which are completely bogus. This demonstration was non-violent. Not a single rock was thrown, yet the soldiers responded to the protesters with force. EVA MENDEZ 200 NON-VIOLENT RESISTANCE TECHNIQUES BURMA Did you know that taking your clothes off in public is one of 200 non-violent resistance techniques developed by the CIA's covert action community and published by pro-democracy activist Gene Sharp? It's True! Take your clothes off for the color revolution. Why not? It's better than getting burned. Burma achieved independence from the United Kingdom on 4 January 1948, as the "Union of Burma." It became the "Socialist Republic of the Union of Burma" on 4 January 1974, before reverting to the "Union of Burma" on 23 September 1988. On 18 June 1989, the State Law and Order Restoration Council adopted the name "Union of Myanmar." This was recognised by the United Nations, but not by the US or UK Governments.[4] Burma is bordered by China on the north, Laos on the east, Thailand on the southeast, Bangladesh on the west, and India on the northwest, with the Andaman Sea to the south, and the Bay of Bengal to the southwest. One-third of Burma's total perimeter, 1,930 kilometres (1,199 mi), forms an uninterrupted coastline. Burma's diverse population has played a major role in defining its politics, history and demographics in modern times. Its political system remains under the tight control of the State Peace and Development Council, the military government led, since 1992, by Senior General Than Shwe. The Burmese military has dominated government since General Ne Win led a coup in 1962 that toppled the civilian government of U Nu. Part of the British Empire until 1948, Burma continues to struggle to mend its ethnic tensions. The country's culture, heavily influenced by neighbours, is based on Theravada Buddhism intertwined with local elements. Burma's foreign relations, particularly with Western nations, have been strained. The United States has placed a ban on new investments by U.S. firms, an import ban, and an arms embargo on Burma, as well as frozen military assets in the United States because of the military regime's ongoing human rights abuses, the ongoing detention of Nobel Peace Prize recipient Aung San Suu Kyi, and refusal to honor the election results of the 1990 People's Assembly election.[58] Similarly, the European Union has placed sanctions on Burma, including an arms embargo, cessation of trade preferences, and suspension of all aid with the exception of humanitarian aid.[59] U.S. and European government sanctions against the military government, coupled with boycotts and other direct pressure on corporations by western supporters of the Burmese democracy movement, have resulted in the withdrawal from Burma of most U.S. and many European companies. However, several Western companies remain due to loopholes in the sanctions. Asian corporations have generally remained willing to continue investing in Burma and to initiate new investments, particularly in natural resource extraction. Burma has close relations with neighboring India and China with several Indian and Chinese companies operating in the country. The French oil company Total S.A. is able to operate the Yadana natural gas pipeline from Burma to Thailand despite the European Union's sanctions on Burma. Total is currently the subject of a lawsuit in French and Belgian courts for the condoning and use of Burman civilian slavery to construct the named pipeline. Experts say that the human rights abuses along the gas pipeline are the direct responsibility of Total S.A. and its American partner Chevron with aid and implementation by the Tatmadaw. Prior to its acquisition by Chevron, Unocal settled a similar human rights lawsuit for a reported multi-million dollar amount.[60] There remains active debate as to the extent to which the American-led sanctions have had adverse effects on the civilian population or on the military rulers.[61][62] Burma's armed forces are known as the Tatmadaw, which numbers 488,000.[5] The Tatmadaw comprises the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force. Burma ranked twelfth in the world for its number of active troops in service.[5] The military is very influential in the country, with top cabinet and ministry posts held by military officers. Although official figures for Burmese military spending are not available, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, in its annual rankings, ranked Burma in the top 15 military spenders in the world.[63] The country imports most of its weapons from Russia, Ukraine, China and India.[64] Burma is building a research nuclear reactor near May Myo (Pyin Oo Lwin) with help from Russia. Burma is one of the signatories of the nuclear non-proliferation pact since 1992 and a member of the IAEA since 1957. The military junta had informed the IAEA in September 2000 of its intention to construct the reactor. At a Hacker's conference I tried to address 9/11 Truth with a supposed good guy "Ex" CIA guy. Peace Bat Demonstration - DNC Denver Non-Violent Alternative http://www.yippies.org/ "Make fun, not war!" That's the motto of a group calling themselves Yippies Colorado. The Yippies are touting "peace bats", as a kinder, gentler weapon that could be a non-violent alternative for police, protesters, delegates and counter-delegates at the Democratic National Convention. Peace Bats are 42" inflatable baseball bats, decorated in patriotic red, white and blue with stars and stripes, and peace signs, of course. They are kids' toys, but could prove very useful at the Democratic National Convention. Peace bats could be used as a non-violent alternative for police who want to "recreate '68" and beat hippie's heads like they did in Chicago. If the police used peace bats instead of billy clubs, no one would get hurt and the laughter and merriment that would ensue would be sure to cripple any thoughts of real violence on both sides. Peace bats could also be used as a non-violent alternative to the anarchist and militant protest groups that are threatening to disrupt the DNC. Why smash the window of a Starbucks or Walmart and risk hurting somebody, when you can go at it with a peace bat all day? Create smiles, not tears! Peace bats are a symbol for how the majority of the DNC protest groups plan to act during the Convention. Most activists want peaceful, nonviolent protests where nobody gets hurt. Can anyone get hurt with a peace bat? Of course not, since it is like getting hit with air! Unless you die of laughter of course. On the other hand, the Denver Police Department, Secret Service, National Guard and thousands of other local and federal law enforcement officers will be armed with rifles, tasers, tear gas, pepper bullets, rubber bullets, billy clubs, high power microwave weapons, sonic weapons and armed Blackhawk helicopters. Real weapons that cause real damage. They may be non-lethal, but they don't sound like a lot of fun! If real violence breaks out at the DNC, who will be to blame? Protesters with peace bats or police with automatic rifles? If comedy breaks out at the DNC, only Yippies can be blamed!
