I wanted the output as loud and powerful as possible. the gain is as loud as possible without distortion. listen to the mp3! the connection between the begin and the chorus is not yet finished and the tempo BPM might not be right yet. but still, listen! Even though there are mistakes... too sad that I havent got anyone who could sing over my stuff. ;o) I guess that be a great cover haha... Used Steinberg tools: Cubase SX Hypersonc 2 Virtual guitarist E & Ac. Virtual bassist Groove Agent 2 (drumline) Played in with: Yamaha PDP-100 e-piano with midi interface. really old thing from 1994... no money for a new one! I am making music since i was a child. I "play by hearing". I first started with keyboard later e-piano and guitar. All these three things work quite well. I hear a song and after a short while I am able to play it. "At the Halt" is a many-sided musical creation, in which the vocal line has multiple possibilities to gradate the lyrics and to "color" the musical arrangement. Cristi Minculescu's lyrics outline an interesting poem of the "road" through life. Each of us comes across to "halts" that influence our existence. Minculescu's specific voice meaningly goes low and jaded to the end of the song, the same metaphorical way our life declines and the last "halt" we come across is the inevitable death. "At the Halt" was written in 1983, in a period in which Iris was part of Cenaclul Flacăra (lead by the national poet Adrian Păunescu). This video contains the live performance of "At the Halt" recorded at the 1992 edition of "Pop Rock & Show" Awards. During this concert, Minculescu also sang "All Right Now" - the famous smash hit of the 70's belonging to Free.
