Ben - GH3 - Colorado Rapids Guitar Hero Tourney - Jun 08 GO RAPIDS! The Colorado Rapids and Comcast sponsored a GH tourney on 21 Jun 08. The tourney was based on score, style, and costume for the first two rounds with celebrity judges. The top two in the first rounds met in the finals, at halftime of the 21 Jun 08 Rapids vs. Houston match. Caleb was the other finalist and was a dead ringer for Slash. And he was an awesome dude. The finals was a mere 2 mins for each player with Ben playing first. Slash went second and did a freaking great job. The audience selected the winner and I think Ben got the nod because he's a kid (although they didn't show Ben's good stuff in the vid). All in all, a GREAT JOB by the tourney sponsord and coordinators. Ben won a couple round trip tickets (We'll be heading to the Ocean City shore of NJ). One last thing.... GOOD JOB AUSTIN! Grizzly River Run Rapids Ride Disneyland California Park This is A ride on the Grizzly River Rapids Ride at Disneys California Adventure Theme Park in Anaheim CA, This was filmed in July 25,2001. It was just A few weeks after the park opened. This was 1 of the first ride videos I edited. 1 fun fact : To film this ride with A video camera I went to the gift shop next to the ride and got 2 plastic store bags. I wraped them around the camera with rubber bands. Then I ripped A small hole in the bags for the camera lens. This is the cheap way to film on water rides. Cedar Rapids Tornado 04-13-2006 While Iowa City got the brunt of the storm and the damage, here is a video of the storm that hit Cedar Rapids/Marion an hour before. You can barely make out the funnel behind the building when the lightning flashes. Prior to the storm footage, you can see the storm on radar, hear the warnings for Linn and Benton counties come across the radio, check out my kitty, and hear me call my employees to safety at work. The tornado sirens also talk. At about 7:45 into the film, you can hear the sirens say "Attention. Severe weather emergency. Seek shelter immediately. Tune radio to WMT. 600 AM or 96.5 FM."
