Guitarist and vocalist Pete Johnson is no stranger to the music scene having been a member of Rumble and Volcanic Eruptions before embarking on a successful solo career. While Sonya Larrigan (percussion and backing vocals) and Helen Murphy (bass guitar) make up this dynamic trio. In October 2006 The Receptors launched their first E.P with fantastic feedback from the public with 4 songs including 'smacking the dog' 'in your face' que queres' and disappear don't fade away' the E.P will be available for purchase on myspace shortly. Before a chemical can be smelled, it has to be volatile to diffuse into the air. It also has to be slightly water soluble to dissolve in the mucus that coats the olfactory epithelium, and it must be fat soluble to enter the cilia of the receptor cells.
