backyard - a brooklyn thriller back*yard [ bak- yahrd ] -noun 1. a familiar or nearby area; neighborhood. [Origin: 1650--60] Originally I wanted to call this short "runnin' scared" because I saw an old newspaper with that as the headline and I thought it sounded scary but then I also realized that "Running Scared" is the name of that Paul Walker movie Wayne Kramer directed where he runs away from people the whole movie while shooting people with his gun. Anyway, this short is called "backyard" and it's been a labor of love for me since about 2 weeks ago today when we started shooting this (FYI when I say 'started shooting' I mean I hit the record button, Rita started acting, and we took it from there, with no real clear plan in mind for what we were going to make). We would have been done even sooner actually if I hadn't accidently recorded over half of our original footage, DOH! I felt like a drunk uncle at a family get-together trying to work the VHS recorder and taping over someone's important wedding or birth. But in the end, it was a blessing in disguise that I recorded over that stuff because we ended up taking it to a whole new level while we were re-shooting scenes the following weekend. I don't want to give away too much because it's quick to watch and I want you to see it with fresh eyes. As for me, I have watched it over and over and over and I'm still not sick of it. There's definitely something to be said about improv filmmaking, whether it's improv run and gun shooting, improv writing, improv acting, improv lighting, improv sound, etc. Here there so many things going on at once that I'm amazed we captured it so well. A lot of these scenes were one shot takes and I give the most credit to my friends in front of the camera. I bought that expensive camera with the intention of making something cool with it, but I never imagined I'd make it past the level of filming pets or myself on a unicycle. Everyone did an awesome job, you know who you are, thank you so much for your help. This is the first piece I've ever shot and cut myself (outside of work that is) and I'm really stoked on it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I'm also looking forward to the next short film we create, but don't worry I won't tell you what it's about until we're in the midst of shooting a scene. Maybe I'll call it 'In the dark'. GTA 4 One Man Army THE HARD WAY, and stay alive. Heres what I did to get 6 stars, the fun and challenging way. A lot of people are saying "Do it the easy way" Well if we did shit the easy way we would still be ruled by the Faggy Brits, Amuuuurica!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO. [before some brit responds all mad, its a joke] 1. fill up your M4a1 and your rocket launchers and grenades to max and get a fast car (I use the infernus but I am sure a comet or Turismo will work) 2. Go to your manhattan home that Roman buys, if you go straight then turn right and keep going till you can't anymore there is a museum. Park the car next to the steps for a clean getaway. 3. Call dwayne and get some backup, they come in a car, use that car and drive to the top of the stairs at the museum and use the car as a shield. 4. Start shooting people, when the cops come kill all of them, knock 2 heli's out of the sky, and blow up a few feds 5. After about 5 minutes of shooting usually end up using 400 of the 570 rounds, you should have 6 stars. 6. Get the fuck out! 7. When they chase you drop grenades out of your car and blow them up. After 5 minutes of running (which should be easy if you have the infernus) go to your safehouse and save the game. You will have "One Man Army" achievement unlocked. Red Dead Revolver [v2] - 24. Battle Finale The final round, Red versus Kelley. This chapter is difficult and even harder to get Excellent on. I guess the only way to beat Kelley in the duel perfectly is lock ONE, maybe TWO red locks and fire, and then fire the last one in real time as Kelley flinches. Going for 4 or more locks is suicide, as then Kelley fires first and you flinch, and he fires again. No matter what you health is by now, he kills in 2 shots. The second part is really tough also. Kelley goes around shooting people, and when enough townsfolk have died, you fail, so you kind of have a timer as it's better that Kelley shoots them than you. He rarely misses. He also doesn't flinch like the other "bosses" when you shoot his head. I have sometimes used dynamite or fire bottles when he's behind a corner, and they work really well. Just make sure you know where Kelley is without him knowing where you are. Oh, and if you want Excellent rating but can't beat the duel perfectly, you can shoot the innocent people just like Kelley and get a star for the combo that way.
