Showreel - Erik van Schaaik www.erikvanschaaik.com production - direction - script - animation (2D/3D)- music - camera - editing - design - voices Erik started filming at the age of twelve. His home made horror and fantasy flicks made it to local and international television. During his study graphic design at the academy of arts Erik started working for Dutch television, creating a series of animation films, live action drama and documentaries, always using a variety of styles and techniques. At that time kids were well familiar with series like JEROENTJE, THE LITTLE MAN IN THE RADIO, and BUSH BEASTS. After graduation Erik continued in the field of children television creating e.g. the popular series SAUSAGE DOG TITUS. He wrote, animated, directed, composed and performed this film noir opera. Erik is well experienced in every aspect of filmmaking, from camera operating to high tech computer animation, from film scoring to producing. That's why he prefers the title filmmaker as opposed to animator or director. In 2002 Erik produced PIECE OF CAKE! An award winning series of which he filmed a couple of episodes in Surinam. On the award winning animated short film VENT Erik collaborated with the crème de la crème of the Dutch jazz scene. Foley Showreel Brendan Foley is a writer, and feature film director. His work in the U.K. and America includes writing, producing, and directing sound post and music on JOHNNY WAS, a 2005 feature film action thriller starring Vinnie Jones, Eriq La Salle, Lennox Lewis, Roger Daltrey and Patrick Bergin. The film received five Best Feature awards from film festivals in USA, Canada and Europe. Brendan then wrote and directed THE RIDDLE, a $5 million mystery thriller starring Derek Jacobi, Vinnie Jones and Vanessa Redgrave, filmed on location in London. In September 2007 it became the world's first ever feature film newspaper premiere with Britain's biggest selling Sunday newspaper buying UK DVD rights and distributing 2.6 million copies in one of the widest independent releases ever in the UK. It is released in USA by Image Entertainment in 2008. Most recently, Brendan wrote and directed BOG BODIES, a satirical horror film set in Ireland starring Vinnie alongside Jason Barry (Titanic) and Nora-Jane Noone (The Descent). He has also written books for US and UK publishers including WWII best-seller UNDER THE WIRE. The book tells the wartime adventures of prisoner-of-war escape hero William Ash, the real-life 'cooler king' from Great Escape camp Stalag Luft III. Previously, his journalistic work included international feature assignments in 55 countries worldwide, covering people, business and war ranging from Alaskan oil spills to bomb-disposal in Angola. His work also won journalism awards from UK Press Gazette , PR Week and Communicators in Business.
