O jornalista e locutor desportivo, Jorge Perestrelo, morreu, aos 56 anos, vítima de enfarte de miocárdio. A ideia é unânime entre os amigos. O jornalista mudou o relato e marcou uma época em Portugal. Jorge Perestrelo fez o último relato no jogo em que vibrou com o golo do Sporting, marcado por Miguel Garcia, que deu recentemente aos leões a "passagem" para a final da Taça UEFA. Miguel Garcia diz que os jogadores do Sporting já fizeram, este sábado, um minuto de silêncio para homenagear o jornalista. Mais tarde, o secretário de Estado do Desporto, Laurentino Dias, endereçou uma mensagem de condolências à família de Jorge Perestrelo, realçando "a magia e eloquência" do jornalista. Fernando Correia, também relator desportivo da TSF, lembra que o colega falecido «trouxe um estilo ao relato radiofónico em Portugal, que muitas outras pessoas tentaram copiar». «Sou um homem de rádio, por isso oiço muita rádio e estou a falar não de rádios nacionais, mas de locais, onde por esse país fora há muita gente que tenta copiar aquele estilo exuberante. É muito complicado, porque essas coisas não se copiam, são naturais. Era isso que admirava no Jorge. Trabalhei com ele durante 14 anos, era difícil às vezes trabalhar com ele. Ao nível da amizade era uma pessoa frontal, egocêntrico sem dúvida, mas amigo do amigo, ou seja, era incapaz de dizer a alguém que gostava dele não gostando», acrescentou Bernardino Barros. Carlos Severino lembra «estilo irreverente» Carlos Severino, assessor de imprensa do Sporting e antigo colega de trabalho na TSF do jornalista Jorge Perestrelo, considerou que a morte do jornalista significa a perda de «um estilo provocante» e «irreverente». «Não deixava ninguém indiferente e vai perdurar no tempo a memória relativamente ao Jorge Perestrelo, porque ele era realmente diferente. Um grande companheiro de equipa e amigo», assegurou. António Macedo diz que Perestrelo marcou uma época Os amigos guardam recordações do jornalista.
