Mom in van tries to outrun train. Train wins (Note: the mom died four days later). Surveillance video shows a Hammond, Indiana woman racing a freight train to an intersection Saturday morning before two trains hit her minivan and killed two of her children. "It seemed that she (Edie Bolanos) was so intent on beating the eastbound train, she never even saw the westbound train that hit her," Hammond police Sgt. Michael Jorden said. Hammond Police Chief Brian Miller sees a lesson in the tragedy. "My heart goes out to the family," Miller said. "My only hope with the release of this is that other people will learn a lesson, and maybe we can avoid another tragedy in the future." Video from Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District cameras shows that in a 65-second span, Edie Bolanos tried to beat an eastbound freight train by turning into a parking lot, racing east to overtake the train, and then making a hairpin turn to continue south on Johnson Avenue across the tracks. The video shows the van does not appear to slow down as it approaches the tracks. The van was violently struck on the driver's side by a train heading west, which pushed the van into the eastbound train in the span of a second at 9:49 a.m. Saturday, the time-stamped video shows. Bolanos remained in critical condition at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago on Wednesday. Two of her children -- Crystal, 11, and Anahi, 8 -- were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Her other two children who were in the van were in stable condition Wednesday at another Chicago hospital. Hammond police still are investigating the crash, relying partly on surveillance videos shot by NICTD cameras. NICTD owns the parking lot that Bolanos tried to cut through to beat the train, police said. Bolanos lives several blocks northwest of the crash site and was heading south on Hohman Avenue at 9:48 a.m. Saturday when the eastbound train crossed Hohman and blocked it, the video shows. The train blocked Hohman at 9:48:34, yet Bolanos did not even turn into the commuter train parking lot that parallels the freight train tracks for another 13 seconds. In the NICTD parking lot, she zoomed east and overtook the train at 9:48:56. At 9:49:01, a NICTD camera facing west captured images of both trains coming into view. Bolanos' van just began turning left toward the parking lot's eastern exit onto Johnson. Four seconds later, the van pulled onto Johnson without stopping and drove toward the crossing -- the exact point that two trains heading in opposite directions were steaming forward. At 9:49:11, the van pulled into the crossing and was struck in its rear half, slowing the van's forward progress just long enough for the other train to smash into it. The timeline -- 9:48:34: Eastbound train blocks Hohman Avenue, yet minivan driver Edie Bolanos has yet to turn into the commuter train parking lot that parallels the freight train tracks for another 13 seconds. -- 9:48:56: Bolanos zooms east and overtakes the train. -- 9:49:01: A camera facing west captures images of both trains coming into view. Gears Of War 2 Mulcher Glitches TuT for all the glitches in the video: To start off this is a simple glitch that you can only do off host with the mulcher. if you down some1 then do this glitch they will never get up. you will have to hit them, shoot them or disrupt there body with some kind of attack to kill them or let them go otherwise they just sit there downed for the rest of the round wich is the first thing seen in this video. I then found out in this gae that if you do this glitch to some1 you will always walk in a normal pace you cannot run as seen you still go walking speed and when you hold L you move at walking speed also instead of it slowing you down but you cannot pick weapons up or chainsaw. to fix this do the X + B weapon slide over a weapon nade or amo to fix this glitch you will then run at normal speeds and be unglitched yourself. later in the video Chris finds out how the downed person can slide at walking speed. now that the intro is done read the tut below. TuT: to down some1 forever (only in games that you can get back up in otherwise they bleedout) Down someone and then grab a mulcher (mortr does not work! and host cannot do this part) grab a mulcher and press Y to kill the downed person it will then glitch them and they will not be able to move or get up you will have to shoot or so on to kill them or unglitch them. once that glitch is done the person that did the glitch with the mulcher will now move at walking speed and to fix this just go over a weapon or amo and press X then B fast and you will be back to normal. to do the downed person walking speed slide while the first person is doing the glitch with the turret have the downed person tap R trigger until the first person is done doing the glitch and the downed person will now be able to freely slide around the map until killed by some1. note that the host cannot do the mulcher part but can do the downed slide. Dips and Pulldowns Chest Back Day 11 29 08.wmv This is a relatively new workout since I have never used DIPs a a Main Exercise, and I haven't had Heavy Pulldowns in my routine for over 6 months now. At my age (60) I am not expecting too much, but I have been MUCH heavier on the Pulldowns, and the DIPS feel good. I also perform DIPS on ARM day and do CHIN DIPS. That is, I dip down until my chin touches the Dipping bars. On chest day since I want to go Heavier, I only dip down touch at the bottom line of the pec. The Pulldowns are Grip'n Rip. On both actions I focus on pretty much exploding into the concentric action and slightly slowing the eccentric.
