using my instrument to amplify my voice somwhere between arvo part and meredith monk (concious that I will never reach them) I introduce this quick video where I use my viola pick up by shadow to amplify my voice.. everything I do is simply to singing (or at least trying to) in direction to my pick up, which is plugged into an ehx smmh, and to a edirol ua 101 interface, everything with high gain levels which explain how I can do this.. notice that I have a fame condenser microphone placed somewhere near me but it is completely unplugged.. I would have to make some connections with cables for being able to plug it to the ehx smmh which i don't say to be impossible, but I've really plugged the viola directly into the ehx smmh.. no extra sound capturing.. so be polite please when commenting Tags: amplifying voice viola pick up |

radiohead - creep cover alto viola this his me playing creep on my instrument, with the following hardware: shadow nanoflex pick up, moogerfooger ring modulator, edirol ua-101, edirol ma-20 d, mac built in camera 13" built in camera.. recorded in imovie hd.. unfortunately you will listen to some issues on the recording (I was playing with a d3 string in the place of a g3 because I had no G string).. that will lead to some issues on the intonation and spectrum body (tone) of the sound.. than you will hear some noise from the pick up (I had to equalize or put a gate to stop it and I had no time to that) finally there are some tempo issues.. MEMORY MAN W/HAZARAI , CRUSH 3 , EGG-STATIC !!!! This is a short demo of the SMMH , looping guitar , shaker , harmonica , and bass ( played with neck pickup of guitar ) all through the Orange Crush 3 (MicroCrush ). Shaker and Harmonica were recorded using the fabulous EGG-STATIC microphone . The entire loop was recorded with a Sony Cybershot DSC-S40 , using the built in mic .
