Too many Tigers? (female tiger spayed)- Big Cat TV So many times we get asked why we get our endangered animals spayed or neutered?...well, in this video we address that subject. In short- believe it or not, there are more captive tigers than wild tigers and that is something we do not like. The cats we have serve no purpose for the future of their species (not a part of the SSP) other than educating the public. We do tours of our facility and educate the public about captive and wild tigers and we send funds to tiger conservation projects overseas. We hope that one day the problem of people owning and breeding tigers as pets will be a thing of the past. We took them to the vet to get spayed because we feel it is the best thing for them as house cats. As good as it seems, though, it was a pitiful sight. 6.5-week-old Kittens and Kitteh Spayed I kinda went nuts filming this, since they move around a lot more now. 3:29-Kitteh comes back spayed. You can see how thin and floppy her belly area is. You'll see Majin Buu start hiss and arch her back when Kitteh approaches her. We think this is due to the chemicals used on Kitteh. Marley and a black one start joining in as well. Adopted! Purrly, Rescued Spayed Kitten, Seeks Home Purrly was one of about 45 cats I trapped and netted at a rural residence and barn. Most of the cats were well socialized. The elderly caregivers had tried to keep up, on getting the cats fixed, but couldn't, due to low income and health issues. So I stepped in. In less than two weeks, I trapped or took in (many were tame) over 40 cats to be fixed and have "confiscated" many of the kittens, including Purrly, hoping to give them better lives by finding them homes.
