Speedhacker caught. This is an automated recording of a potential speed hacker on my server. I have a speed hack detection mechanic and once it suspects someone of speed hacking it starts recording a server side demo. This is one of the demos. I intentionally increased the time it takes to detect speed hackers to be able to record a demo, in a live environment by the time it decides to record a demo it's already decided that we're dealing with a speed hacker. This particular player tried to be smart about his speed hacking, only speed hacking when no other players would see him. I have since modified the speed hack detection resulting in quicker detections of speed hackers, I have also modified the recording script to continue recording until the speed hacker leaves the server. Speedhacker caught. #4 In this video I have decided to remove the instant kill and changed it to something a bit more realistic than getting killed once an enemy is visible. Now I simply make it so the speed hacker can not do any damage to anybody, and the first hit he takes he dies. This is bleeding obvious with a pyro, as once the mechanics activate on the cheater he is no longer able to ignite players and dies really fast. Unfortanately he did not stay around very long. His total connection time on the server was about 4 minutes, with the demo kicking in after about a minute and a half. Tags: tf2 speedhack cheater voogru |
