Ken Wilber - Spirituality and the 3 Strands of Deep Science The three strands of deep science—injunction, apprehension, confirmation—give us a reliable methodology for learning about both the world without and the world within. Want to know what the moons of Jupiter look like? Look through a telescope. Want to know what satori is? Sit down and count your breaths. While you're at it, have a couple friends do the same thing, and then compare notes. After all, if your experience of satori involves becoming one with a jelly donut, you, um, might want to see if that happened to anyone else.... Tags: Integral Naked Ken Wilber Spirituality Science |

Alan Watts - Atheist Spirituality Atheism is a lack of belief in the existence of a personal God. Alan Watts did not believe in a personal God. "The difficulty for most of us in the modern world is that the old-fashioned idea of God has become incredible or implausible." -Alan Watts "The religious idea of God cannot do full duty for the metaphysical infinity." -Alan Watts "The style of God venerated in the church, mosque, or synagogue seems completely different from the style of the natural universe." -Alan Watts "But to me nothing - the negative, the empty - is exceedingly powerful." -Alan Watts Tags: religion crutch alan watts atheist spirituality |

AUM Spirituality: Significance of AUM - Ohm, Om http://www.siddhayatan.org http://www.yogeeshashram.org http://www.askacharyashree.com Significance, Meaning, Definition of AUM, OM, OHM Transcription Significance of AUM AUM is a natural sound. In Sanskrit A stand for Brahma, U for Vishnu and M for Shiva. The combination of three powers makes up AUM and this combination embodies God with creative, sustaining and destructive powers. AUM, the sound, is in our blood. The first sound that a baby makes is A, then Uuh and then the word Ma. This natural sound connects us to God. In Hindu culture, the baby is considered very pure with no ideology and therefore close to God. AUM in English is equivalent to GOD; G for generative power, O for operative power and D for destructive power. The sound of AUM can activate and open all the seven charkas especially the sahasrar, which is located at the top of the head. According to Hindu culture that is where God resides. AUM was discovered by the rishis. Rishis are the people who can see the truth. How can you see these hidden powers in yourself? It is known that new cells are always forming in our bodies, other cells are always dying and something always remains the same -- Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu. Our memory, which remains the same and connects us to the past, is called the operative power. Everything is a combination of these three powers. For example, if you want to change a gold earring to a bracelet the goldsmith will melt (Shiva, destructive power) the gold (Vishnu, operative power that which stays the same) and make a new bracelet (Brahma, generative power). You can learn to chant the sound of AUM in a certain way to activate all the chakras. Also certain colors are created through the chanting of this sound. When you chant AUM you are already improving yourself. Most religions are utilizing this sound. In Christianity it is the word amen. Chanting benefits the person physically, mentally, and spiritually. *tags* spiritual, spirituality, spiritual teacher, spiritual guru, spiritual master, seeker, truth, enlightenment, peace, self-realization, meditation, awareness truth about god, truth about spirituality, spiritual truth, truth about bible, truth about jesus, truth about swamis, hindu, jain, india, us, Christian, catholic, jewish, islam, muslim, religion, pope john paul II, yoga meditation, spiritual meditation, yoga meditation, yoga poses, yoga toes, tantric yoga, yoga clothing, yoga positions for beginners, yoga positions, acharya yogeesh, bikram yoga, online yoga, benefits of yoga, kriya yoga, namaste yoga, yoga exercise, yoga techniques, pranayama, breathing, kundalini yoga, hatha yoga, raja yoga, yoga journal, india, yoga postures, yoga magazine, pilates, christian yoga, vinyasa yoga, yoga nidra, spirituality, meditation, yogeeshashram, bad religion, acharya yogeesh, spirituality, freedom of religion, losing my religion, islam religion, barack obama's religion, world religions, religions, mayan religion, aztec religion, catholic religion, hindu religion, buddhist religion, jain religion, jehovah witness, protestant, greek religion, jewish religion, cherokee religion, native american religion, meditation, yoga, mormon religion, jesus christ, mohammed, krishna, wiccan religion, cults, different religions, spiritual religion, pirituality, acharya yogeesh, how to meditate meditation techniques, meditation music, transcendental meditation, guided meditation, buddhist meditation, benefits of meditation, history of meditation, meditations, cosmic meditation, communion meditations, christian meditation, daily meditations, easy meditation techniques, meditation methods, meditation instructions, meditation guru, meditation retreats hindu meditation, aum, ohm, om, sanskrit Tags: AUM ohm om definition meaning significance guru spiritual teacher power God wisdom |

The Spirituality of Tomorrow The Catholic theologian Karl Rahner famously said "the Christian of tomorrow will be a mystic, or not a Christian at all." Few people have impacted Christianity in this regard as has Fr. Thomas Keating. A Cistercian monk from St. Benedict's Monastery in Snowmass, Colorado, Fr. Thomas has spent a lifetime in deep Christian practice, and in sharing the fruits of this contemplation with countless others. We were enormously blessed to host a dialogue with Fr. Thomas and Ken Wilber in April of 2006. In today's featured video, Ken presents some of the foundational concepts of Integral spirituality. Kriya Yoga Secrets 2 - Science and Spirituality Converge http://HAMSA-YOGA.ORG for more. Kriya Yoga is not a religion. It is the science of the soul. The technique is composed of spinal breathing, magnetic oxidation which causes the electrical flow of prana to reverse itself into the river of the spinal cord and regain its divine essence. Kriya yoga utilizes positive light energy growth for spiritual evolution of consciousness. Yogiraj is a living master and solar seer, and helps sincere practitioners of yogic meditation awaken to higher levels of consciousness through chakra awakening/activation and esoteric practices of Himalayan yoga. Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath was born on May 10, 1944 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. He has been meditating since the age of 3, and spent his early years in the Himalayas amongst the HamsaNath yogis, in whose presence he was transformed. The divine transformation flowered after his deep and personal experiences in 1961 and 1967 with the yogi-christ Mahavatar Shiv-Goraksha-Babaji, the same spiritual master described in Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi. He has a wife of 30+ years, Gurumata Shivangani, with whom he built by hand the Hamsa Yoga Sangh Ashram (Spiritual Retreat) outside the city of Pune, near Bombay, India. They have two sons, and two grandchildren. Yogiraj teaches yogic meditation for the evolution of human consciousness. These perennial practices of yoga are the most ancient closely guarded sacred practices of the Himalayan yogis and masters from time immemorial. They help the practitioner gradually transform him/herself into the likeness of his/her own divinity. This ancient art and science has been a way of life for rare yogis and ascetics of India and abroad who have sacrificed everything in the search for their own inner Truth, their inner Godessence. Today, Yogiraj demonstrates in his own life and livingness, that powerful spiritual practice can be integrated with family life and a career. By the blessings of Babaji, Yogiraj teaches these techniques, which he collectively calls "The Alchemy of Total Transformation" to sincere seekers throughout the world, who wish to integrate these practices into their daily life, without the necessity of giving up worldly pursuits. These techniques are called: 1. Mahavatar Babaji's Kriya Yoga (N.B., the exact same kundalini kriya originally given to Lahiri Mahasaya in the 19th century) 2. Siddhanath Surya Yoga - A dynamic osmosis of solar healing. Pranic self-healing with solar power. 3. Siddhanath Hamsa Yoga - The Way of the White Swan. If earth peace is to herald the dawn of the new age, let us all realize that: Humanity is one's only religion, Breath one's only prayer, and Consciousness one's only God. Death: Do we live forever? Are we eternal? Spirituality Soul http://www.siddhayatan.org http://www.yogeeshashram.org http://www.askacharyashree.com Soul is immortal and eternal. Matter is eternal. The body changes shape, as matter changes shape. Transcritpion Is it possible to live forever? Do we come back? You ask if the spirit is immortal. Yes, the soul is immortal; it lives forever. Soul (light) and matter (object) are both eternal but they change shape. A tree today may come in the form of a human body at another time. The human body is a combination of five elements. Everything else is also a combination of these elements. These elements never die. The soul also changes shape. It can come in the form of a human body or in the form of an animal body according to its karma. According to your deeds, your karma, you assume your body. The body is an instrument and the best instrument is the human body because it has a developed mind. The human mind can think, experience, and realize. All civilizations are constructs of man not lower forms of life of animals. Build your karma so you always incarnate as a human. The old form of Catholicism embraced incarnation and karma but later the church dropped these ideas. Jesus, who studied in India, was preaching incarnation but he was crucified for his ideas. Today people know about karma and accept the idea of incarnation. The soul will never die. You will come back in another form. We are just changing shape like changing from old clothes to new. We change from an old body to a new body. The challenge is to get rid of all misery and I am here to help you do that. Once misery is removed you are in a constant state of bliss, which is much more than happiness. *tags* spiritual, spirituality, spiritual teacher, spiritual guru, spiritual master, seeker, truth, enlightenment, peace, self-realization, meditation, awareness Tags: spirituality spiritual death die dying live forever eternal soul spiritualism teacher yogeesh |

New Age Spirituality, true spirituality? enlightenment? http://www.siddhayatan.org http://www.yogeeshashram.org http://www.askacharyashree.com The New Age Spiritual Person does not represent the true spiritual person. Running away to caves or a mountain to meditate is the wrong thinking. Or finding a helpful mala is not enough. The true spiritual seeker is different from new age spiritualists. For the true seeker it is a slow and steady path building a solid foundation. Tune in. Transcription New Age spirituality is not true spirituality. Followers of New Age thought get trapped into a religion and culture. They are not spiritual at all. They think they found spirituality when they recite, "Aum nama shivah." They also think that by going to the Himalayas to meditate, they will become yogis. But they have not begun to really learn. You cannot become spiritual in one day. It takes years to clean up the body. If a person was a meat eater toxins accumulated in his body. Their minds and thoughts take a long time to clear. Their brand of spirituality closes them off. A spiritual person is a flourishing person. He is very compassionate towards society. Their flourishing comes from spiritual practice. They will not put down another person and they don't consider themselves the only spiritual people on earth. The more spiritual a person becomes the more he will expand in all directions. Spiritual people are alive. To sit in a cave meditating does not help society. Only a flourishing person can help society, he can affect others around him. If New Age people could become real spiritual people they could flourish, otherwise they are trapped in little things. A real spiritual seeker digs deep into his being and there he finds everlasting bliss. He does not have to close off from society. His knowledge, the knowing, can be shared if he is integrated into society. He can bring change to people around him. When Mahavira and Buddha were full of knowing they rushed to share their knowledge with people. Sometimes they would retreat to solitude until they became full again. Their knowledge made them alive and blissful. They spread the meditative light to everyone. A spiritual person is like a flower in its perfect state of blossoming. He can be anywhere in the world and be comfortable among all people. Knowledge makes a person full. It makes him alive, loving, and sharing. He chooses to live in society and does not run from it. Everyone loves a perfect and loving person. *tags* spiritual, spirituality, spiritual teacher, spiritual guru, spiritual master, seeker, truth, enlightenment, peace, self-realization, meditation, awareness Tags: new age spirituality spiritual spiritualism caves himalayas escape renounce renunciation enlightenment |

Dharma - Spirituality Enlightenment Spiritual Path Person http://www.siddhayatan.org http://www.yogeeshashram.org http://www.askacharyashree.com Definition of Dharma according to enlightened master/guru, Acharya Shree Yogeesh. Transcription What is Dharma? Unfortunately, western seekers consider Dharma a religion. Religion is a way of life. It teaches good things but as a religious person you may be brainwashed and therefore prone to become violent. It is better to be spiritual. Dharma is not religion. It is not a teaching. It is not separate from the soul. It is your soul. In Sanskrit, its translation is duty -- duty towards others. It asks the question, "Are you fulfilling your duty in society?" When you fulfill your duty, your dharma in society, you are considered a good person. Djarma Raja is the person who fulfilled his duty. In Mahabartha, Rhudistar had all the bad qualities but unfortunately or fortunately he won over Pandavas. All his shortcomings were overlooked because he was the victor. He was the worst king but still he was called Dharma Raja (the best person on earth). He had an addiction to gambling which caused him to lose his wife and kingdom. But history twists the facts. Fulfill your duty and you are Dharma Raja. Dharma is unrelated to religion or spirituality. If you really understand this concept Dharma is not separate from you. Dharma is like your blood, your pores. It is you. Everything that makes you what you are is Dharma. If you are following Dharma you cannot make a mistake. Dharma is a good thing for society, unlike religion. But superior to all is spirituality. *tags* spiritual, spirituality, spiritual teacher, spiritual guru, spiritual master, seeker, truth, enlightenment, peace, self-realization, meditation, awareness, buddhist, buddha, buddhism, jainism, hinduism dharma dahrma master patanjali hindu hindi buddha buddhist india guru zen buddhism Tags: dharma dahrma master patanjali hindu hindi buddha buddhist india guru zen buddhism |

Negative Influences Preventing Good People - Spirituality http://www.siddhayatan.org http://www.yogeeshashram.org http://www.askacharyashree.com Why do others prevent good people from doing food work? What are the consequences for those who prevent? During my first year as a spiritual student I overheard two people talking. One of them wanted to donate 5,000 rupees for the poor. The other questioned why he wanted to donate so much. He asked him whether his daughter was getting married. Then he advised him to donate only 1,000 rupees. He did not have the money himself and he was trying to prevent the other from donating. The person who tries to prevent another from doing a good deed, will encounter consequences for such actions. It collects antrahe karma. People ask why they cannot get what they want in life. Maybe many times in their business when the time comes to sign an agreement something happens and the deal falls through. This happens over and over again. The reason is antrahe karma, which means there is something blocking the way for what you are supposed to get. They could be good people in this life but they could have prevented others' good deeds in a past life. Their business never succeeds although it seems things are happening for them. It always slips away from them. Antrahe karma is not so strong when a person does this unknowingly. But when a person knowingly prevents another from, for example, donating for an orphanage or a hospital, and is aware of the consequence of collecting antrahe karma that person never gets success in his life. They will suffer throughout their life. There is a way however to finish that karma. The way is to become humble, never criticize another person, and think that you are the only bad person. Being critical of only yourself will prevent antrahe karma from taking hold of your life. When a person learns this during his lifetime they begin to change themselves. To change yourself you need to have humility and compassion for others and for the earth. *other notes* Good people with good ideas, causes, and projects are often prevented by friends, family, and relatives from doing their good works. Why is this? Why do negative influences stop good things? What are the consequences for preventing goodness? Talk on Karma. Who is a Spiritual Person? Truth Seeker? http://www.siddhayatan.org http://www.yogeeshashram.org http://www.askacharyashree.com Transcription: Who is a Truth Seeker? Who is Spiritual? A truth seeker is someone that is trying to discover himself; who he really is. A truth seeker is not seeking God, Jesus, Mahavira, or Buddha. He wants to know why he is here, why he is human, and where he comes from. The seeker wants to find the purpose for his life. Seeking is a curiosity, which will eventually bring answers. For sure, we are all coming from somewhere else because this body is not eternal. Even children are very curious about themselves. They want to know what their body is. They look in the mirror and question themselves. These children are spiritual seekers but it is unfortunate that they find religious teachers instead of spiritual teachers. If these children had the opportunity to find spiritual teachers they would really blossom, become beautiful people, and their growth can be special. It is unfortunate that they find madrasas but not the real spiritual schools. It is not easy to find a real spiritual master either. The world is full of disciples but real masters are few. Teachers will teach traditions, sadhus will teach drugs, but none of them teach others how to blossom. Among all seekers there are only few that really blossom, they ask the real questions and they are very lucky if they find a live master who can have a real impact on their life where their lives fully transform. In life, to be a truth seeker is very important and meeting a live master can be the greatest blessing to the person. *other notes* We hear the terms spirituality, spiritual person, truth seeker, and spiritual searcher, but what do these terms mean? A Spiritual person is one who commits to themselves while increasing self-awareness and improving and transforming their lower qualities into higher qualities. It has nothing to do with religion, but rather, working on one's own self to know the truth that has always been hidden inside you. *tags* spiritual, spirituality, spiritual teacher, spiritual guru, spiritual master, seeker, truth, enlightenment, peace, self-realization, meditation, awareness Tags: wisdom advice spirituality meditation self peace happiness awareness religion |

Atheism: There is no God, so why so many Atheists? http://www.siddhayatan.org http://www.yogeeshashram.org http://www.askacharyashree.com Spirituality: If there is a God, why so many atheists? Atheist, Atheism, Atheistic There is no evidence that there is proof of God or that if God even exists. This is a reason why there may be so many atheist, atheists or atheistics. If there is a God, why are there so many atheists? Until today there has been no evidence that the kind of God that is spoken about exists. People are asking if there is an almighty God why doesn't he come to our help? There is so much suffering in the world. Is that a compassionate God that does not respond to our suffering and allows it to go on? If God existed he would come down to help relieve the suffering of people. People do not see this God and they turn to atheism. They are not to be blames. They have a right to turn against the idea perpetuated by religion. Not a single scientist or psychiatrist has been able to prove that God exists. Not a single so called enlightened Pope or Lama like the Dalai Lama can prove the existence of God. There is no evidence. This is a scientific era and because the existence of God cannot be proven people have a right to be atheist. At least atheists are seekers. They might discover one day whether God exists. *tags* spirituality, atheist, god, atheism, atheistic, atheist beliefs, why i am atheist, who is an atheist, god, no god, science and atheism, atheism and religion, atheist meditation Tags: atheist atheists atheistic atheism proof evidence god spiritual science religion |

Go beyond Positive & Negative, Duality Illusion Spirituality http://www.siddhayatan.org http://www.yogeeshashram.org http://www.askacharyashree.com Positive and Negative are a part of the dual world. However, truth, soul, God, and spiritual masters are beyond the realms of duality. This is the highest state of consciousness. Self-Realization and Enlightenment go beyond positive and negative. Transcription What happens when one goes beyond positive and negative? Going beyond positive and negative is not an easy thing to do. This can only happen when a soul (a person) is in constant meditative state, where nothing affects him. In everything he does he is in meditation. This soul has crossed the positive and the negative that are the two sides of the same coin. Krishna had two wives. The two wives wanted to visit an enlightened master. There was a river in their path so they asked Krishna if he could do something so they could cross the river. He told them to take food to the master and when they neared the bank of the river to ask, "If this master never ate in his life give us a path." So they went and did as they were told. The river parted and they went on to the master's place. They heard his words and became very happy. Before leaving they offered him food and the master ate all of the food as though he had never eaten in his life. Now it was time to leave but how would they cross the river again? They asked the master and he told them to ask the river the same question as they did before. The river responded and gave them a path to cross. When they came back to the palace they were full of confusion. How could the river open a path if he never ate? They saw him eat. They told Krishna about their confusion. Krishna said to them that although the master eats he is not eating. When he walks he is not walking. When he talks he is not talking. He is always in a meditative state. He eats because his body needs nourishment. He is not into the eating. We eat for the sake of eating not because the body needs it. If a person can eat only because his body needs food he is in a meditative state. He is beyond positive and negative states. He is in a state of consciousness that is balanced. He is not affected by anger, love, hate, or compassion. A great person remains always the same, not affected by adversity or prosperity. This is the highest state of consciousness. *tags* spiritual, spirituality, spiritual teacher, spiritual guru, spiritual master, seeker, truth, enlightenment, peace, self-realization, meditation, awareness Tags: positive negative positivity negativity duality illusion delusion meditation spiritual spirituality religion |

Diksha Celebration: Spiritual Initiation of Sadhvi Siddhali Shree. A message for Change & Spirituality. Dedicated Spiritual student, Tammy Herbster, takes diksha (spiritual initiation) and becomes the first disciple of living enlightened spiritual master, Acharya Shree Yogeesh. Transcription of Speech: "Tolstoy once said: Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. As you have heard, taking diksha is not an easy thing. Many of you have approached me telling me that diksha is very hard, that it is a brave step, and have questioned me if I am ready to renounce the worldly life. In my eyes, diksha is the commitment and discipline to grow spiritually. It is hard, because it requires a lot of self-effort, self-reflection, and the willingness to change. The degree of difficulty is not in memorizing words or prayers. The difficulty lies in self-change, self-learning, self-growing and self-knowing. I have an intense passion to know my soul, and hopefully one day reach the higher states of consciousness. Such a goal, may take my entire lifetime, but I am ready because my soul is tired of living in illusion and being in the grip of karma. I want to know true freedom. Taking Diksha is a step towards moksha, the liberation of soul. With any goal, challenges are to be met and change is required. I want to know Truth, and not live by the values of society that pervade our world right now. I am not seeking financial success or status. I am seeking to unveil the treasures of the soul that already belong to me. As I continue to put efforts into my own spiritual journey, I also hope to affect the lives of others. The problem today is that the world lacks true spirituality. The media tends to reflect what values are in any culture and if we look into Americas popular culture, we are saturated with negative images and messages that promote materialism, consumerism, violence, sex, drugs, alcohol and reinforced stereotypes. Where is the spirituality? Where is the justice? Where are the messages of non-violence, compassion, love, loyalty, respect, and responsibility? The youth today feel abandoned, hardly trust adults, and seem to be apathetic towards their education and career goals. Women and men are still dominated by reinforced stereotypes that keep them trapped in a small box, and if they break the stereotype they are criticized. There is conflict and war among religions, because one says they are the only way, and the other is wrong. The negative effects of todays society are endless; however, it can be reversed and spirituality and peace can prevail. The world needs change. Change starts with you. What you wish to see in the world, you must practice and make it your own. For example, if you want peace in this world, or even peace in your own family, you must be peaceful. Many pray for world-peace, however, hardly anyone makes the self-change required to bring about that peace. Change is action, not just mere wishing. Change yourself, to become aware of your mental and emotional habits. Change yourself and become aware of all the living beings that around you, so that you will not harm them. Change yourself, to see past the unfruitful ideologies that religions, governments, and society have planted in your mind. When you change yourself, you will see your own divinity and will begin to know soul. When you change, your values, your goals, and your outlook will transform. As you become calm, others will become calm. Imagine if the whole world whole-heartedly took a step towards real transformation, the world will become peaceful instantly. However, the reality is, the world can change one person at a time. Slow and steady wins the race. The benefits of change lie in self-learning and self-knowing. If the youth today learn spiritual values, they will be focused, determined, confident and aware. If women today learn spirituality, they will be empowered, strong, and positive spiritual role models for our youth. The same goes for men. If spiritual values flourished in our society, there would be equality among gender, race, and orientation. The world can change, but it is in your hands. Take action. Meditate 5 minutes a day, and it will make a difference. Today, I have made the step to dedicate my whole life to self-improvement and change. As I grow, I hope to share my experiences that will hopefully inspire others to change for themselves. My goal is to help bring the values of peace, compassion, integrity, respect, love, and non-violence back into our society. The world needs change, but like Tolstoy said, I must change myself first. Religious teachings keep you in a small box, not allowing you to expand yourself. Whereas spirituality, is an undefined path of discovering your true self, leading you to your soul, God. Transcription Religion versus Spirituality There is confusion about religion and spirituality. Religion is not spirituality and spirituality is not religion. Religion teaches a way of life in society. Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism have different paths of teaching. People think that by connecting or conversing with God or by following a certain code of dress they are in religion. Every religion tries to bring peace in the world but they want to do it through their own path. The more they insist on their way the more wars they create. A teacher recently was jailed in Africa because her students wanted to name a toy teddy bear Mohammed and according to Islam you cannot name a teddy bear by the prophet's name. Religion doesn't bring peace despite all the good teachings. Religion is like a garden that is full of various flowers, most fragrant and a few not so fragrant. As soon as religion starts to brainwash its people they will fight until death for their ideas. Religion's role is to bring goodness to people only. Spirituality is the better way because it avoids the pitfall of religious teaching or a way. Spirituality is the pathless path. It takes you on a backward journey into yourself. When you search deep into your being you are spiritual. This focus, not the focus on others or the outside world, into the depth of your soul will lead you to God. This is not a belief; it is a knowing. Being spiritual allows you to blossom. It brings peace to the person and to the world. The soul, atma, for which there is another word, Parusha, is the light inside of you. It is the force that drives the body. The body cannot be alive without this light no matter if the organs and the senses are still present. The soul or atma can be elevated to mahatma, the great soul and to paramahatma, the expanded soul or consciousness. When this peace is achieved through spirituality you can bring peace to the world. But first be a peaceful person yourself. Don't try to change others. Spirituality is the best way of understanding and if the world becomes spiritual peace will prevail. Once you understand spirituality and expand the soul it can travel to other planets because the soul, the light, does not need oxygen to survive. In spirituality the soul will blossom and expand and there will be no differentiation between you and God. Spirituality is blossoming not brainwashing. *tags* spiritual, spirituality, spiritual teacher, spiritual guru, spiritual master, seeker, truth, enlightenment, peace, self-realization, meditation, awareness, truth about god, truth about spirituality, spiritual truth, truth about bible, truth about jesus, truth about swamis, hindu, jain, india, us, Christian, catholic, jewish, islam, muslim, religion, pope john paul II, yoga meditation, spiritual meditation, yoga meditation, yoga poses, yoga toes, tantric yoga, yoga clothing, yoga positions for beginners, yoga positions, acharya yogeesh, bikram yoga, online yoga, benefits of yoga, kriya yoga, namaste yoga, yoga exercise, yoga techniques, pranayama, breathing, kundalini yoga, hatha yoga, raja yoga, yoga journal, india, yoga postures, yoga magazine, pilates, christian yoga, vinyasa yoga, yoga nidra, spirituality, meditation, yogeeshashram, bad religion, acharya yogeesh, spirituality, freedom of religion, losing my religion, islam religion, barack obama's religion, world religions, religions, mayan religion, aztec religion, catholic religion, hindu religion, buddhist religion, jain religion, jehovah witness, protestant, greek religion, jewish religion, cherokee religion, native american religion, meditation, yoga, mormon religion, jesus christ, mohammed, krishna, wiccan religion, cults, different religions, spiritual religion, pirituality, acharya yogeesh, how to meditate meditation techniques, meditation music, transcendental meditation, guided meditation, buddhist meditation, benefits of meditation, history of meditation, meditations, cosmic meditation, communion meditations, christian meditation, daily meditations, easy meditation techniques, meditation methods, meditation instructions, meditation guru, meditation retreats hindu meditation Tags: religion spirituality vs guru religious teachers priests peace universe soul god meditation awareness |

Spirituality (not religion) and Science Science and Spirituality need not be at odds. In fact, the more science has delved into the empirical make up of the physical (quantum mechanics, string theory/multiple dimensions), biological (Gaia hypothesis, autopoiesis, complex systems), and psychological worlds (meditation, entheogenic plant therapy, integral theory), the more space began to open up for a spiritual interpretation. Reality is not what it seems. We need not continue talking about "God" as though "He" were some supernatural being who lives in the sky and designed the universe. Spirituality is just the acknowledgement that rationality (ratio=duality) is not the final end of human consciousness. The goal of human existence, in my humble opinion, is not to believe in God, it is to realize God Consciousness for ourselves. God Consciousness is the experience of non-duality, of cosmic unity, of wholeness. Tags: spirituality religion science technology |
