CD / Sticker Factory (Deluxe) Here is the explanation & instructions: Sandbags have a chance to drop certain items when hit with a sufficiently strong attack. If only sandbags are enabled, the only items they can drop are Stickers or new CDs. So the idea is to bring them into a trap and beat them up with something like Bowser's single jab, Ivysaur or Falco's rapid jabs, or Marth and Yoshi's downtilts. Using wavebirds also greatly increases the effectiveness of this process, as well as doing it at lightning speed. Details instructions are as follows: 1. Build a level like this (to unlock conveyer belts, create five custom stages) 2. Put all wavebird receivers to same channel as one controller 3. Play custom melee (1-stock, lightning speed, high gravity) 4. Move all cursors to the corner then select Yoshi with all 5. Turn items to very high, but only allow Sandbags 6. Select your custom 'CD Factory' stage 7. Make sure one Yoshi goes to each farming cubbyhole, facing awasy from the wall 8. Turn off the wavebird, hold up on the control stick, turn it back on, and release the control stick (now Yoshi is always crouching) 9. Tap A quickly to either downtilt, or pick up any CDs / stickers Once you're done, jump out and KO 3 of the Yoshi's. I should also point out that more CDs and Stickers become available as you unlock more characters and stages, so your time is better spent doing this after unlocking all 35 characters and 41 stages. Stickers I recommend having a reward system as an ESL teacher. It gives the kids something to look forward to, and it gives you a way to discipline the kids - take away the game/prizes. Wii Sticker Boy// Rippage at Universal City Walk Recorded during the Nintendo Wii Launch Party at City Walk. During my 16 hour wait in line, I got really bored. But then I saw one of my buddies walking back to our spot with a Wii/Gamestop Sticker on his shirt. He tells me "Dude, they're free, Gamestop has like stacks of em on the counter". One thing led to another; I made suit out of the stickers. Wore that thing for hours. The main problem was, those stickers stuck onto skin like duck tape. Thankfully, the ten hours of sweat made it so that it slipped right off; sadly, my arms weren't so fortunate. By the way, there was this other guy who did almost the same thing as I did. A lot of people took pictures of the two of us, so it must have gotten online by now. Anyone mind finding those pics for me? Need em for a montage thing I'm doing for school. Goin' green: About that Energy Star sticker on your frig? PC Yesterday, I posted two blogs (here and here) regarding an AMD-hosted panel discussion that I attended in Cambridge, MA. Execs from AMD, EMC, HP, and APC were there to talk about short term measures that can yield savings in energy expenditures and green house gas emissions today, and then the ways in which they're looking to enable deeper efficiencies through new technologies and automation. For example, imagine that, collectively, the temperature sensors on the cores of all of the microprocessors in a datacenter were dynamically adjusting the controls on that datacenter's air conditioning system. Cool, eh? (literally and figuratively). One of the more interesting parts of the morning however came when a member of the audience — Arthur Howard — was invited to the front of the room to brief the room on the green initiatives that he's involved in.
