Vegetarianism And The Effects Eating Meat Has On Our Planet This is a very interesting and thought provoking video that is likely to cause a lot of discussion for the people who view it. It explains what effect the consumption of meat and factory farms used to raise and kill farm animals for food is having on our planet, and how by reducing our meat consumption can have positive effects for the planet including feeding many populations of starving people. Many people will very angrily condemn you to hell for comparing the killing of farm animals to the killing and tragic atrocities committed against human beings. I'll let you make up your own mind. But it's certainly thought provoking as farm animals are killed by the billions each year, with it not upsetting a huge majority of people as it does not even at all enter their moral sub conscious and bother them. Humans have been persecuted by the millions as well in cruel horrific and unforgivable ways too. But for many people they will say very strongly "humans are more important than animals!" "end of story!" While I can respect this attitude, is still doesn't change the fact that billons of farm animals die each year in cruel unacceptable methods of suffering and abuse which is just the way that millions of humans have in history too. Don't condemn me; I'm just saying millions of animals have been killed in unacceptable ways just as millions of people have. And if you think I'm an extreme animal lover who doesn't value human life your mistaken. I love and adore humans and have aids links posted on my blog on my profile (which I encourage people to visit for vegetariansim articles and more) to raise awareness, and I abhor child abuse, racism, genocide and every other injustice against human beings including starvation. But reducing meat consumption can help end starvation??? My video description alone highlights just how thought provoking and interesting this video is. While I don't 'officially' know who created / owns the rights to this video etc. I feel it may be the iskcon.com website. I have e-mailed them and asked them permission to keep this video on my YouTube account and for it not to be removed. If the 'official creators / owners of this video see it here on YouTube. Please e-mail me and I will happily follow your advices on this video. Please don't file a copyright claim to YouTube please e-mail me first as I don't want my account suspended. smudgy23@gmail.com Thank You Tags: Vegetarianism Effect Meat Consumption Planet Moral Right Justice Humans Starvation Suffering Thought Provoke Earth Plant |

Non-Violence & Vegetarianism in Buddhism Acharya Shree Yogeesh brings to light that Buddhists claim to practice the principle of Non-Violence, however, their error is that they eat meat. To practice the true principle of non-violence, one must not eat meat, as it causes pain and kills the animal. Unfortunately, Buddhists still eat meat, and therefore do not full practice ahimsa, non violence. *tags* non violence buddha vegetarianism vegan vegetarian benefits buddhist buddha buddhism truth spiritiuality enlightenment ahimsa bodhi bodhisattva avaloketeshvara dalai lama Tags: dalai lama buddha vegetarianism vegan vegetarian benefits buddhist buddhism truth spiritiuality enlightenment |

Islam and Vegetarianism IS NON-VEGETARIAN FOOD PERMITTED OR PROHIBITED FOR A HUMAN BEING? Between Dr. Zakir Naik and Mr. Rashmibhai Zaveri (Patkar Hall, Mumbai, India, 9th May, 1999) Let us first analyze the Religious reasons - Mr. Trivedi said that... 'Religion should not interfere with the human being... where it is concerned, what we should, and what we should not eat - That we should leave it up to the doctor'. I agree with him that most of the Religions, that is in the case. The Religious authority, the main foundation... that is Almighty God, if He is not a doctor, the God that you worship is not a doctor, then you should not follow him - He says... 'Leave it to the doctor'. But in Islam, we believe... Allah (SWT), Almighty God, is our Creator - and the Creator of the human beings has far Superior knowledge, than all the doctors put together, in all the years. And you can find the statement, as Mr. Rashmibhai Zaveri said... 'All from doctors' - he is quoting from these books, which I think is available for sale outside... all these books. I will touch on some of these points, all out of which many are fictitious... fictitious, do not exist at all - Some are irrelevant, some are untested and some are truth... which are half-baked. I would like to make one point crystal clear, that while I prove undoubtedly, that Non-Veg. food should be permitted for the human beings, I do not have the slightest intention to hurt the feelings of any Vegetarian. And while I prove logically and scientifically that Non-Veg. food is permitted, and if someone feels hurt, his sentiments are hurt... I apologize in advance... I sincerely apologize. My intention is not to hurt anybody's feelings, but I have to reply to the presentation, to the earlier speaker. As far as Islam is concerned, it is not compulsory for a human being to have Non-Veg. - a Muslim can be a very good Muslim, even by being a pure Vegetarian. But... but when our Creator... Almighty God... Allah (SWT), gives us permission to have Non-Veg., why should we not have it? And I started my talk by giving a quotation from the Glorious Qur'an, from Surah Maidah, Ch. No. 5, Verse No. 1, which says... (Arabic ).... 'Fulfill all your obligations and lawful for you for food are. All four footed animals with the exceptions named'. Qur'an further says in Surah Nahl, Ch. No. 16, V. No. 5... 'that cattle has been created by God, for you - in it are various benefits.... - You derive warmth, and of their meat you can eat'. The same message is repeated in Surah Mominun, Ch. 23, V. No. 21... 'that you can have the meat of the cattle'. DR. Vegetarianism & 20th Century Jews Thank you for watching. To learn more about the teachings of Judaism on vegetarianism and compassionate treatment of animals, I highly recommend these two books which helped me greatly in my own decision to embrace a vegetarian diet, and from which most of the quotations in this video were found: Judaism and Vegetarianism, by Richard H. Veganism and vegetarianism in Islam&Turkiye The answer to 'How is the current situation of vegetarianism in Turkey? ', or 'How many vegetarians are there in Turkey?' is really very difficult to answer, exactly like in the USA, or any other county in the world. The famous and historical Turkish cuisine is offering a vast opportunity of items particularly for lacto-vegetarians as well as the acceptance of dry beans and rice, chickpeas (or lentils or peas) and bulghur (cracked wheat). Widely known 'yoghurt' is a word which has entered Western languages from Turkish (yogurt) since it is the oldest food of Nomadic Turkish tribes brought from Middle Asian steppes having many derivatives like Ayran (yoghurt drink), Cacik (appetiser), Kurut (dried yoghurt), Süzme (dense yoghurt),etc. Another trend nowadays is preference of white meat or soya products like textured soy protein, tofu and soy milk to red meat.By the way if you are interested in soymilk you can watch my video showing to make a soymilk machine as a hobby at home in youtube.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJ2NA2ucPss ..Although you can see a McDonald's, Burger King or Dönner Kebap shop on every corner of Istanbul there are also about 10 restaurants identifying themselves as vegetarian restaurants except 15-20 Far-Eastern restaurants. Nevertheless as mentioned before, in local restaurants you can generally find tasty alternatives for veggies. Once a year Turks sacrifice a ram in memory of Prophet Abraham but Islam advises less consumption of meat saying 'too much meat consumption is a kind of addiction like alcoholic drinks'.The prominent Islam scholar Abdül Kadir Geylani would once a year have a vegan diet for 40 days and if we examine Islam and Prophet Mohammed's sayings we see that he advices us to eat meat at least once in 40 days otherwise our nature wil be harmed and when we examine the contemporary medicine we see that the best source of vitamin B12 and iron is red meat.It is very obvious that our body will have no harm if we eat meat once or twice in 40 days.On the contrary this is exactly the way of nutrition of thousands of centenerians in Turkey,Caucasia,Balcans .Zaro Agha who lived 160 years ..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvCTNQISFfk These people eat meat very rarely as adviced by Islam and their basic protein source is yoghurt just. On the other hand if we examine the life of George Bernard Shaw who is known to be the longest living vegan we can see that he had pernicious anemia in most of his life of 92 years. In Islam "HUMAN" is the most honored creature like in all other religions and all the other things were simply created to serve him . I think that the people of our world hopefully will find the right path to the century's biggest fact of 'Ovo-lacto vegetarians tend to live longer and to suffer less from chronic disabling conditions than their meat eating peers' as stated in the most imporatnt Medicine book of the world (The Merck Manual, 15 th Edition, Pg.9). judsonlaipply ,Evolution of Dance,Dancing, comedy, okgo,ok,go,treadmills, here,it,goes, again, hereitgoesagain,PARISIN JAIL,Larry, King, parody, showbiz, tonight,CNN,access, hollywood, bikini,Legs, feet, butt, boobs,IMVU - www.IMVU.com,guitar,canon,rock,kid,jerryc, funtwo,cannon,solo,lesson,guitar90,prabhu, deva,Kalluri,Vaanil,Pennin,Manathai,Thottu, laughter, revelry, child,Hahaha , Tags: Vegan vegetarian vejeteryan soymilk machine zaro agha longevity immortality film nutrition ufo soccer song music movie advice community dating personals random video blog wisdom |
