"FROM REGISTER NEWS REPORTS" VH1 show teaches men how to meet women 'The Pick-up Artist,' Mystery, provides the expertise for eight men who want to make connections. VH1 has teamed up with world pick-up guru, Mystery, for a new how-to dating series, "The Pick-Up Artist." The show is about the transformation of eight men longing for social acceptance by overcoming their biggest social fears. Mystery has been teaching his "how-to" technique for meeting women to geeks-without-game. He will help eight men who have no luck with women to become more confident and use methods that work. The eight will go through a rigorous eight-week boot camp to compete for the title of "Master Pick-Up Artist." Aided by Mystery's wingmen, Matador and J Dog, he will teach these average Joes how to turn the women of their dreams into the women of their reality. After each lesson, Mystery's apprentices will put theory into practice, hitting bars, clubs and coffeehouses in an attempt to make a love connection. Via hidden cameras, Mystery is always watching to see who's got potential and who's got to go. In each episode, one contestant is declared the winner of a challenge and granted immunity from elimination, while one will be sent packing. At the end of the eight weeks, one winner will be named "Master Pick-Up Artist" and awarded $50,000. For the seven contestants who don't go home with the grand prize, they will leave with some of the tools they'll need to change their love life forever. VH1 Rock of love Heather Co-hosting (WTV) Heather Chadwell was born May 5, 1975 in Columbus, Ohio. As a child, she lived a short time in Jacksonville, Fla., where her father's side of the family still resides. Heather and her mother moved backed to Ohio after her parents were divorced. When her mother remarried, Heather gained 5 stepbrothers and 1 stepsister. Growing up, Heather was very athletic and a bit of a tomboy, playing soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball and powder-puff football. She was also on the drill team and was a cheerleader. Her sophomore year of high school, Heather was named a Homecoming Attendant, and her senior year, she was named Miss Winter Wonderland Snow Queen. After entering the Miss Teen Groveport Pageant and winning, at age 13, Heather began modeling and participating in pageants on a regular basis. Venus Swimwear, Hawaiian Tropic, American Dream Festival and Miss Hooters of Ohio are some of the pageants that followed. Print work in calendars, magazines, playing cards, commercials and the 1999 Playboy College Edition followed as well. Although Heather loved modeling and being on the stage, she knew she needed an education to fall back on, so she put herself through college. Since she was funding her own education, Heather began at Columbus State Community College, and then moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she finished her Associate of Arts degree and graduated with honors from Cuyahoga Community College. Heather then transferred her credits to Case Western University where she majored in biology and studied pre-med. After learning, however, that the medical field was not for her, Heather transferred to Ohio State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication in 2002. After graduating, Heather decided to move to Las Vegas, on her way to Los Angeles. Though she travels to Los Angeles often, Heather has lived in Vegas for nearly 5 years, having purchased her first home there. Heather has worked at the Palms Casino and Resort for the past 3 years, and has even dabbled in the entertainment club industry. She works for modeling agencies in both Las Vegas and Los Angeles, and travels back and forth frequently. In 2006, Heather was cast as an extra on VH1's "Surreal Life" Las Vegas set. Months after the show was filmed, VH1 contacted Heather about a new, rockin' reality show with an 80s singer. She was very excited because the 80s is her favorite era. Heather went for the audition, had a blast, and was soon cast of VH1's "Rock of Love" with Bret Michaels, lead singer of Poison. Living in the mansion in Bel Air, Calif. with all types of women and sexy Bret was one of the most wild and crazy times of Heather's life! The experience was so unique and such a roller coaster ride, that it it's already one of Vh1's biggest hits. If you haven't seen it, be sure to check it out...it's a riot!
