I tried to adapt page 5 of the graphic novel, WATCHMEN, into a movie. As you will probably notice, I followed Sin City's production techniques and used some of the score that best fit the mood of the page in my opinion. I did the best I could. En este escenario, se relata la historia de un grupo de superhéroes del pasado y del presente y los hechos que rodean el misterioso asesinato de uno de ellos. Watchmen presenta a los superhéroes como gente corriente que debe enfrentarse a sus propios conflictos éticos y a sus problemas personales, que lucha contra sus trastornos y fracasos y que, con la notable excepción del Doctor Manhattan, carecen por completo de superpoderes. La deconstrucción que la obra realiza del arquetipo convencional del superhéroe, combinado con el innovador uso de técnicas cinemáticas, de abundante simbolismo y de la metaficción, han ejercido una importante influencia sobre cómics y películas posteriores. Escrito por Alan Moore y dibujado por Dave Gibbons, ambos de nacionalidad británica. Fue publicado por primera vez por DC Comics durante los años 1986 y 1987 como una serie limitada de 12 números. Watchmen se convirtió en 1988 en la primera novela gráfica en conseguir un Premio Hugo, galardón otorgado a escritores de los géneros de ciencia ficción y fantasía. Es la única obra de su género que aparece en la lista elaborada en el año 2005 por la revista Time 100 best novels. 1923 to the present, que incluye una selección de cien novelas en lengua inglesa publicadas desde el año 1923. Watchmen - New High Res Images For those who are still not especially well acquainted with the graphic novel, these characters are The Comedian (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and the man whose demise kicks off the events of the book/film); Nite Owl (a technical whizz with depressive tendencies, played by Patrick Wilson); Ozymandias (an arrogant, extraordinary athlete whose turned himself into a brand to make millions, played by Matthew Goode); Rorschach (played by Jackie Earle Haley, he's kind of our hero, despite being a slightly insane detective who wears a mask to hide his identity at all times); and Silk Spectre (played by Malin Akerman, she's the only girl of the group, and none too happy about that and would rather not be a crime fighter anyway). Watchmen was originally published by DC comics as a 12-comic book series between 1986 and 1987, before subsequently being collected into a trade paperback. It is the only graphic novel to win the prestigious Hugo Award or to be named among Time magazine's "100 Best English Language Novels from 1923 to the Present."
