Anastasia Prologue, 1997 by David Newman Inspired by Michael Seeley of MemorableMusicScores, this is sort of taking a page from him. I took the Prologue from one of my favorite movies, 20th Century Fox's animated film from 1997, Anastasia, and basically took out the dialogue so you could enjoy the music. This is from the Academy Awards Promotional Album and is not available in stores. This is my first crack at something like this, so bear with me! Imaginary Program: Ilia Kulik: Shakespeare In Love I just made this a few minutes ago! Hope you enjoy it. In my opinion, Ilia Kulik is a genius in choreography. Shakespeare is a genius in writing. So it seemed the two were a match made in heaven. Kulik skated to Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet, composed in honor of the Shakespeare play of the same name. It was choreographed by Tatiana Tarasova I believe, so I'm not sure why I'm using this to honor Ilia's own choreography, but it seemed only right. Ilia plays Will Shakespeare, trying to make an honest living with his art, just like Iliushka. I use the music from "Shakespeare In Love" composed by Oscar-winner Stephen Warbeck. Imaginary Program: Evgeni Plushenko: "Swan Lake Finale" I just made this a few minutes ago. Evgeni Plushenko plays the daring, dashing, tragic young hero Prince Siegfried. We join "Siegfried" just after he has accidentally proclaimed his love to Odile, a woman who was charmed by Count Rothbart to look exactly like Odette, so that the spell cast over Odette can never be broken. Upon discovering this, Siegfried goes to Odette and begs her forgiveness. Count Rothbart comes and insists that he must still marry Odile, and Siegfried defiantly declares that he would rather die. So he and Odette drown themselves. I was inspired to make this because of the little-known fact that Evgeni almost became a ballet dancer. The Maryinsky Theatre offered him a position there when he was just 9 years old. I decided to honor him with this because I would love to see him do a ballet score on the ice, especially now, since he is so refined. Tags: evgeni evgeny plushenko swan lake ballet

Imaginary Program: Evgeni Plushenko: "CUBAN PETE!" I just made this video a few minutes ago. I adore this song from the Jim Carrey classic "The Mask," and I adore the segment in the movie. I decided to edit the music a lot, since it is only two minutes in length and there is a short part with a woman singing, I think it makes more sense to take her out and just have him singing. I use Evgeni Plushenko's amazing Flamenco short program, as performed at the 2004 World Championships in Dortmund, Germany. I think the video is adorable! What do you guys think? Please comment!
