For my dear father Libreck Hitipeuw For my dear father who died much too young, at the age of 39. He was an ex KNIL-soldier who fought in the second world war under the Dutch flag with many other Moluccan KNIL-soldiers in Indonesia against the Japanese occupation! He came in 1950 with my mother and 4 children and many other KNIL-soldiers with woman and children to the Netherlands and lived for 13 years in camps in wooden barracks and then moved in 1963 to Breda where he worked in a metal factory and lived with my mother and their 12 of 14 children, 2 were adopted. In 1966 he passed away at the age of 39, it's sad to loose him so young but I'm glad to have known him as a hard working man and a good husband for my mother and a good father for his children!!! Lili's Children Lili's Children was a Moluccan familyband existing of brothers and sisters in the 70's/80's, children of Libreck and Lydia Hitipeuw-de Fretes, only the drummer was Dutch, they played music of Santana, Wishbone Ash, Grand Funk and also own numbers! They existed for about 5 years and were quite wellknown at that time in the Moluccan community and outside! At that time they released a single with 2 self composed songs, called Uncle Njo and Trip Eyes! Now much older they still make music but some with their own band. For my dear parents Libreck & Lydia Hitipeuw - de Fretes For my dear parents who already passed away, but especially for my beloved mother who raised 12 of her 14 children ( 7 boys and 7 girls, 2 were adopted ) on her own when she was just 42 when my father died! At that time my oldest brother was just 19 and my mother was pregnant of my youngest sister! It was almost an impossible task and a heavy burdon for her, but with the help of God in whom she always trusted and for the love of her children she succeeded in making the impossible possible! That's why we will never forget her and we will always be thankfull for what she did for her 14 children!!!
