MegaMan X4 - Zero vs Sigma (NO DAMAGE) Here's another run at the final boss sequence of X4 with Zero, this time using the "dash cancel" technique to take down that head a little faster. Made a couple minor mistakes with my attacks, but no damage was received during the entire battle. Mega Man X4 Zero Playthrough - Sigma (14/14) Here we are at the final boss sequence. I hear people say this is very hard with Zero all the time, and I can never figure out why. I beat the first two forms without taking any damage, which isn't exactly anything special. I took some damage in the final part, most from that pesky yellow floating head that I often have trouble dodging. Sigma's gun toting form on the right side is ridiculously easy though, so long as you remember that Ryuenjin is once again your best friend. I was a little slow with the Sigma head form on the left side though, partly because I can never reliably do damage to him during his debris spitting attack without taking damage myself, so I usually just wait it out in the upper right corner. As for his other attack, Shippuuga is pretty useful while you're dashing away from the spikes. I also avoided using the "dash cancel" technique during this battle (and the entire playthrough). So yeah. Thus concludes my X4 playthrough with Zero. It was kinda fun to make, and hopefully someone out there struggling with Zero may benefit from it. Thanks for watching! -- These videos are not intended to be a speed run or perfect playthrough of the game. It's mainly just to demonstrate my techniques (which aren't really anything special) for completing the game with Zero. I mostly made this because I was bored, and because after hearing people talk about how hard this game is with Zero all the time, I figured it'd be convenient to have video demonstrations of how I do things handy. I usually tend to make excessively stupid mistakes as soon as I try to record anything, but I think these turned out decently. Mega Man X4 Zero Playthrough - Final Weapon Bosses (13/14) Rematch with the first eight bosses. Dragoon is the boss I do worst at, but Raijingeki is helpful. I did a little better on some of them the second time around though, most notably taking down Beastie without receiving any damage. Which was partly just luck that he didn't use the Twin Slasher attack. Also beat Spider, Walrus, Peacock, and Stingray without taking damage, but those are pretty easy.. Should've done the same with Split Mushroom, but I made another stupid mistake in that one. -- These videos are not intended to be a speed run or perfect playthrough of the game. Mega Man X4 Zero Playthrough - General (12/14) And here we have the fight with the General. My least favorite part of the game, mainly because it's just so tedious with Zero. This time wasn't too bad, though. I did fairly well for most of the battle, but I made a some sloppy mistakes at the end. As for getting to the boss, I don't usually try very hard to avoid damage there because I know there's a full life refill waiting for me at the end. And I'm lazy. -- These videos are not intended to be a speed run or perfect playthrough of the game. Mega Man X4 Zero Playthrough - Iris (11/14) So here's the fight with Iris. Along with one mistake getting to the fight, I took a little damage during the battle, but not too bad. Ryuenjin deals a decent amount of damage to the crystal, as well as helping some with keeping Iris away. -- These videos are not intended to be a speed run or perfect playthrough of the game. Mega Man X4 Zero Playthrough - Colonel (10/14) Alrighty, I will readily admit that I did a pretty lousy job with this one. Took far more damage than I ever should have during the fight with Colonel. But it still gives you an idea of how it should go, as far as the attacks I use. Just imagine me taking much less damage, heh. -- These videos are not intended to be a speed run or perfect playthrough of the game. Mega Man X4 Zero Playthrough - Storm Owl (09/14) In this one I made some fairly sloppy mistakes in the first half of the stage and during the boss fight. Rakuhouha does more damage to the boss if you let him get as close as possible, but I screwed that up a few times and took damage as result. -- These videos are not intended to be a speed run or perfect playthrough of the game. Mega Man X4 Zero Playthrough - Slash Beast (08/14) Took some damage during the second half of this stage, due primarily to my avoidance of the Ride Armor. I'm not a big Ride Armor fan, particularly when using Zero, as I don't like the slow clunkiness of them. As for the boss fight, I took some damage in this one, due to a couple mistakes and the fact that I can never seem to dodge his Twin Slasher attack. Zero isn't really able to exploit a weakness on this boss, but Raijingeki does better damage than most other attacks, so I used that a fair amount. Mega Man X4 Zero Playthrough - Jet Stingray (07/14) Most of the damage received in this one was intentional as a result of attacking Jet Stingray with the Ride Chaser in the second half of the stage. Mega Man X4 Zero Playthrough - Magma Dragoon (04/14) Yes, I was a pansy and used the ride armor for the boss fight. A little sloppy, but it got the job done.
