"No-one to Blame" - Christopher Mast NOTES ETC: New song, one take, ZR500 firewired to Mac. I was absolutely plowed when I recorded this. I was having a bad night and wrote this song and realized I'd never remember it in the morning if I didn't record it somehow. Posting it was an afterthought. The dynamics of the mics on my camcorder are limited. It picks up that one e-flat note that rings in every chord of the song REALLY WELL... The song sounds fuller when you can hear the lower strings, which are the notes that'd sound good on cello. I wrote the song on-the-fly (pretty much right before taping it). I uploaded it 'cause it sounded OK then. Lucky for me that "beer ear" didn't make me sing it flat.
