비상 - Incheon United's Miracle (Part1) No place to practice... Not enough squad to substitute... Nobody cares or knows such team... Sometimes it is good to see that there is hope in a market driven world of football. There is hope for those who never give up. Incheon United's 2005 season can be summarized as miracle. In a market driven world of football where money can buy almost everything, Incheon Utd have proven that hard effort, determination, and faith can make teams achieve the impossible against such odds. This documentary film is about Incheon United's miracle run to the play-off finals (eventually lost on goal difference) of K-League 2005 season. Given the harsh realities of their club situation; the fact that, they had no proper training facilities, not enough squad to go through entire season, the odds were high against them. Everybody expect them to finish last. Then came a man by the name of Jang Woe-Ryong... he came with vision, gave faith into players to believe in themselves, the rest is legend. This is story about Incheon United. P.S. This film is actually hour-half long but I'm uploading 30min version that someone edited. Enjoy :) Tags: Incheon United Soccer Korea football league |

Search for Strikers - Mota and Radoncic Players are given new passports and a chance to play for a nation. Back in the early days of international competition, players were given the chance to play for that nation as soon as they set their foot on their soil. Some of famous players we know who switched their national alleginaces are Alfredo di Stefano and Ladislao Kubala. Both players played for three different countries. Since then FIFA tightened player's eligibility to prevent players from changing one nationality to another for their convenience. However, in 2004 FIFA eased the rule by allowing a player to join for a new nation as long as that player hasn't played a competitive game for senior team of the original country. Also players who have played for U21 or lesser level competition are eligible for switch. In a global football world of today, changing nationality is not a new phenomenon, it is a trend. France has won a World Cup with players entirely made up from immigrants. Lets cast our minds back to Euro 08, we realize many of the players who played for these European countries are actually from Brazil, Africa, etc. Croatia's Eduardo, Portugal's Deco, France's Vieira, and Turkey's Aurelio. We know that Spain won the Euro with the help of an Brazilian, Marcos Senna. So is naturalization of a foreign player necessary? Not really. I'm sure Brazil won't ever need one because they're one of greatest nation of player export. However, today we live in a world of demand, result is all that matters. Of course there are concerns about player's representation of a nation, question of patriotism, and cultural dilemma. But with so much at stake from the media to sponsors and honor of a nation, the structure of international football is changing. It is up to the FA to choose to embrace the situation. Here are two players who are highly eligible for Korean nationality and are able to play for the national team. What more should I explain, just watch the clip ;) *Joao Soares da Mota Neto: Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil November 21, 1980(age 27) Seongnam Ilhwa Eligilible for citizenship in 2009 *Dženan Radončić: SR Montenegro, Yugoslavia August 2, 1983(age 25) Incheon United Eligible for citizenship P.S. I wanted to add a personal note, I'm not totally in favor of naturalized players. I blame K-League teams for relying too much on foreign strikers, which discourages many Korean youth players to take such position...
