『中央フリーウェイ』 荒井（松任谷）由美のカバー Chuuo Freeway (cover) Chuuo Highway stretches from center of Tokyo westward to Yamanashi and Nagano. You will drive through Tokyo, then to the mountains and forests as you gain elevation. I love this song because it talks about Suntory Beer Factory and Horse Race Track you can see from the highway while driving around Chofu area of Tokyo. 『風をあつめて』 はっぴいえんど（細野晴臣）のカバー Kaze wo atsumete (cover) This piece is really nice one composed and sung by Hosono Haruomi of Happy End - the legendary Japanese rock band back in early '70s. This lyrics was written by Matsumoto Takashi, drummer of Happy End. Later Matsumoto wrote so many lirics for big million seller Japanese pops and became really famous as a lyrics writer. This tune is recently being used as background music for Asahi Beer TV commercial. So nice to listen to his song from my TV!! You can also listen to this song in the movie "Lost in Translation". 『ありがとう』 小坂忠のカバー Arigatou (cover) The title of this song "Arigatou" means thank you in Japanese. This tune was written by Hosono Haruomi of Happy End and sung by Kosaka Chu in 1971. Now working as a Christian missionary, Kosaka chu is still active in his musical career. Two years ago, I went to the concert held in Sayama where Kosaka Chu played and sang his famous songs such as this one. I was so excited to see him live as I adore him so much.
