Digital Irish Dance Troupe (Special FX test) This is another Irish dance special effects test. This are 2 basic experiments with creating an acapella Irish dance routine created entirely from clones of myself! This is done entirely in Adobe After Effects. Pleae note I am a beginner in both after effects and Irish dancing, and the steps were pretty much improvised on the spot. This isnt the finished product, this is just a test to see if something like this is possible. Also, this was done with a VERY badly lit blue screen (well... blue CLOTH lol) so the keying is pretty ropey, and yes, I AM aware that sometimes my face or arm dissapears behind the garbage matte. Criticise my Irish Dance solo! I'm a self taught, amatuer Irish dancer who hasnt danced in public for over 3 years.. and I have a performance coming up for a large family event. I decided to film my practise session (VERY ROUGHT practise session) and upload it here so that other irish dancers can offer constructive criticism about how to make it better. I dont want comments like "this sucks", I want you to tell me WHY it sucks (with a timecode reference if possible). Please bear in mind that I am a self taught amatuer. And I havent danced in years. And I've become unfit in the intervening time! There are 2 versions on here, the 2nd intro is actually MUCH better than the first, and I think its obvious that I totally run out of energy towards the end of the main performance.
